Guest guest
It says 0.1 mg. That is 1/10th of 1 mg. Different drugs are measured differently. I don't quite get it. I use 1.5 mg of estradiol gel and have never gotten a test >61. What will matter for you is what estradiol level you get. Val From: rhythmicliving [mailto:rhythmicliving ] On Behalf Of campbellworley I ordered the largest Climera (from inhousepharmacy)(I believe it says it provides 7.6mg E) Since it is supposed to be replaced every 7 days, I suppose it is expected to give you a little over 1mg per day. Right? > > Two systems are available to provide nominal in vivo > <http://www.medterms.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=4034> delivery of > 0.05 or 0.1 mg of estradiol per day via skin of average permeability
Guest guest
I received the patches today. It is the Climera 100. It says one patch provides 7.6mg of estradial. Also says patch should be replaced after 7 days. Nowhere do I see 0.1 mg. Now I'm confused. Laurel, help!! I think I've seen where you have used these. Valarie wrote: It says 0.1 mg. Guest guest
I was just put on the patch yesterday. Supposedly, it is the highest dose of Climera available, and it says 0.1. Also, they gave me the generic brand. Is there any problem with that? Worley wrote: I received the patches today. It is the Climera 100. It says one patch provides 7.6mg of estradial. Guest guest
My Climara 100 patch says on the patch envelope "1 patch contains Estradiol 7.6 mg." The little instruction leaflet in the box says to replace patch in 7 days. Mine came from France. Mine DOES NOT say 0.1 anywhere. I'm just trying to figure out how much E I can expect from this patch each day. Nothing scientific! I know nothing (obviously) about patches! Just trying to figure it out. Where are you reading "0.1"? Mindy Boudreau wrote: I was just put on the patch yesterday. Supposedly, it is the highest dose of Climera available, and it says 0.1. Guest guest
I posted this on Wednesday Two systems are available to provide nominal in vivo delivery of 0.05 or 0.1 mg of estradiol per day via skin of average permeability (interindividual variation in skin permeability is approximately 20%). Each corresponding system having an active surface area of 10 or 20 cm2 contains 4 or 8 mg of estradiol USP and 0.3 or 0.6 mL of alcohol USP, respectively. http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/estraderm.htm Val From: rhythmicliving [mailto:rhythmicliving ] On Behalf Of Worley My Climara 100 patch says on the patch envelope " 1 patch contains Estradiol 7.6 mg. Guest guest
Thanks Val. With my high E needs right now, I'd have to use oodles of these patches then to even feel the effect. Guest guest
I think you should try one and see how you feel. You'll know if you're low E. Guest guest
, I use the Climara 100 patch when I am traveling. It lasts me NO more than 3 days, probably more like 2 days. There is 7.6 mg in the patch for the whole week, so if I use it up in 3 days I get 2.5mg/day. I do have to add a little extra in the form of olive oil E in order to get by. Estraderm is more painful to use ( adhesive) and I do prefer the Climara, if I am going to use a patch. Although it too leaves a red mark afterwards. Hope that helps.
