Guest guest
Yes, the medical portion of the insurance would take care of the coinsurance as long as Medicare is primary and the plan coordinates benefits w/ Medicare. I hope this helps! Shouldn't the BC/BS of IL be picking up the 20% for immunos at the pharmacy?
Guest guest
I am finding that most plans will not reimburse the pharmacy quickly enough or will only do paper billing so the patient pays the 20% copay and then sends that to their commercial plan for reimbursement. If the patient has a deductible with their commercial plan, they often have to meet that deductible first before their plan will reimburse the 20%.
