Guest guest
Yes....and I hear they now have someone in custody for it. I wish it was on a slab instead of in a holding cell. << Witchy in Chicago... you hear about this: Illinois Cop Gunned Down on Highway No Motive for Night Shooting, Police Say June 2, 2000 By Seamus McGraw HAMPSHIRE, Ill. Guest guest
I too feel for the officers and his family. It's a shame that officers and their friends and families have to go through this. My prayers go out them all. Tammy

Guest guest
From the news reports last night...They have a suspect in custody. He is supposedly a life long friend of the officer. No motive or anything further yet from what I've seen on the news. Guest guest
<< << From the news reports last night...They have a suspect in custody. He is supposedly a life long friend of the officer. >> >> The county in which this happened borders my county.......the man in custody was caught when he showed up at the residence the next day to console the wife of the man he murdered. There are some sick twists to this story. For some reason the officer had a copy of his will in his squad. There has been speculation that the man who murdered the officer was not only a friend, but had had a romantic relationship with the wife. The officer and his wife had only been married for three weeks. She didn't seem too awfully upset on the news either. What a world we live in...... The wake was today and the funeral is tomorrow. Some of my 'guys' attended. My condolences to Kane County.
Guest guest
My deepest prayers and sympathies to the officers family, the officers who worked with him(brothers/sisters) ..and also to the dispatchers who worked with this man. Although we deal with it everyday, (death and sometimes mayhem) it is hard to deal with. When the stone is cast...it sends many, many ripples that effect many shores..... Cin in good ole Ohio.... try to be happy...BE SAFE
Guest guest
I have also heard some of this " sick twist " that you are talking about. I was working the night this happened, I just came into work and I am about 45 miles from where this happened at. It is really confusing at first when they were dispatching our ISPERN traffic for it, all they had was a possible veh description, and that was it. It was put out as a " wanted investigation homicide " . The thing that confused everyone that night was that he did not advise he was going to be out with anyone, no license info was ran throught his MDT (mobile data terminal), it was a big guessing game that night.
