Guest guest
That is aweful, most plastic sugeons are more forth comming on how often they need replaced then that. I bet those women haven't had their implants very long. And there are more and more Plastic surgeons who are aware of the problems with implants and it is so sad they aired this particular PS. They play on womens insecurities so much and our husbands and sons are starting to think that implants are the way women should look and that is just not right. > > Welp another crapy news report on breast implants. Guest guest
I had consultations with three plastic surgeons prior to my not getting implants and was told by each of them that they would last a lifetime. As to our husbands and sons, I don't agree, there are many men who do not like the look or feel of implants. Since I decided not to implant I have been shocked to hear so many men talk of how fake they look and feel. I assumed most men liked them. I'm going to see if there's a place where we can tell NBC what we think! Love to all, Rogene

Guest guest
That is what I told my husband this morning, although I am sure they wont care. I wrote the oprah show and Tyra banks and never recieved anything back (Oh and sent a negative email to Dr. Phil, I felt like I was watching Stern when he had a " Empowering Women " segment and gave away 3 free breast implant surgery to some women who wanted them) I guess he is all for it since his wife has them as well. I figured Tyra would be interested, she always promotes her natural breasts and speaks of how she would never get plastic surgery.... > > Well, I slept though the show . . . > > Guess my morning was more pleasant that way! > > I'm going to see if there's a place where we can tell > NBC what we think! > > Love to all, > > Rogene >
Guest guest
I'm having problems accessing nbc's website . . . lightening blew out my network card, so I'm on dialup. Sooooo slow! . . . Some of programs have response sites that stay up indefinitely. When I can get on hubby's computer I'll see what I can find. Frontline still posts messages from a show years ago! .. . . Outstanding messages! Hugs, Rogene

Guest guest
Kathie, Mrs. Leonard is the FDA's spokeswoman for medical devices like breast implants. She can't do anything, but she can forward messages to those who can! They do keep track of messages. When I called recently, she knew the date of my last email (which had been some time back. They had blocked my email to her! . . . I thought she had moved on to another position until the FDA told me they were going to connect me to her desk! She claims they don't block email, but I know different. They also blocked sey when she tried to tell them about the awful problems her daughter experienced because of 's failed implants. The doctors in St. Louis now have a name for it . . . it's called the Hillary Syndrome. When Mrs. Leonard responds, I can see if she forwarded my message. If you'd like her toll free phone number, I'll be glad to find it for you! . . . However, while speaking to her may be more personally satisfying, email leaves an electronic trail. IMHO, everyone ought to send everything to her that they feel is an injustice regarding breast implants! . .. .If may not do any good - But if we don't say anything . . . we can be sure nothing will happen! Maybe one day there will be a special investigator assigned to look into how the FDA handled the breast implant situation . . . They can't say they weren't informed! God Bless, Rogene
Guest guest
thanks for the info....i have written her, and also will call later if you find her #.....maybe we should all do that in the next few days........i also emailed katie and matt c/o the today show.....i hope someday there is an inquiry, and as you so beautifully stated, unless we all keep sending information which has a trail, then we don't know who has seen/heard our pleas..... God bless you as well....... kathie > > Kathie, > > Mrs. Leonard is the FDA's spokeswoman for medical > devices like breast implants.
