My apologies ahead of time for the length of this

post.

When you find that work can no longer be left behind

you when you clock out at the end of a day, you worry

about your officers when not @ work,

or when you feel that a small mistake while answering

a 911 line or sending out a call could escalate to

something larger (pardon the term) leaves one a tad

gunshy knowing that even if you have been through a

" bad " call there's the potential of one even worse

lurking nearby, or when dreams are centered around

being at work and you wake up in a pool of sweat...

When it suddenly dawns on you that your are no longer

responsible for just one life, you take responsibility

for the welfare of your officers and citizens each

time you walk into the dispatch room.

And, when you start asking yourself if it's time to

get out, is it past due to find a new career?

I'd really like to hear some opinions or suggestions

from those of you that are lifers. Either within the

post or feel free to send me email direct.

thanx.
