Guest guest
Hi I'm 2 1/2 weeks after surgery, and most of the time have been very up and excited about my healing. I am a little discouraged today because my arthritis is bad again, although it moved from the left to the right side, which is weird. It has always been on the left, and now suddenly my left is great and my right side is bad. I am also very bloated. Is that common for anyone else after surgery? Maybe something I'm eating? I actually look pregnant (which I am not). Thank you Cherie
Guest guest
Hi Cherie - since I haven't been there yet, I don't have much advice, but I'm curious about the bloating. Has that just recently happened or have you been bloated for a few weeks? Have you been drinking more water than normal, or not much water? Do you think laxatives would help or is that not the problem? Strange that the pain is on the right today instead of the left, if it's always been on the left. Maybe it's just fluctuations in the immune system, like it's reacting because it's trying to get back to normal, but some days it takes a step backwards. My pain hasn't been isolated to one side of my body, or even one part of my body. The only thing that seems constant is my sore left thumb. Other than that, it changes constantly. One day my knee swells up, another day my jaw hurts, another day my toe joints are sore, then my shoulder, then my elbows - it's all over the place. I noticed that when my fingers are sore, they turn a bluish color. Sis > > Hi > I'm 2 1/2 weeks after surgery, and most of the time have been very up > and excited about my healing. Guest guest
Cherie, your body is going through it's own detox as the implants are now out of your system. You can expect to have many bad days mixed in with the good ones, and strange and new symptoms are not uncommon. However, it's a good thing because you are being cleansed and the symptoms will decrease over time. Drink more water than you can handle and eat only mild foods that are easily digestable, and preferably organic, for the nest few weeks. You should feel better soon. Guest guest
I remember after the BA I had bloating to which I attributed it the effects of anesthesia.Cherie <cheriesut@...> wrote: HiI'm 2 1/2 weeks after surgery, and most of the time have been very up and excited about my healing. Guest guest
I have heard of this happening. There may be foods or spices that make it worse - this is different for each person, so you might want to start with a very simple diet and then add things you really like one at a time. I've also heard that cutting way down on fat also helps, as well as taking " healthy " gut bacteria like acidophilus pills. Doctors - we can't live without them, thank god most of us don't have to live with them (g)... - > > About 15 months ago I was diagnosed with Psoratic Arthritis. Guest guest
I find that drinking carbonated beverages really makes me feel bloated. I would avoid them if you are having problems. Kay
Guest guest
Hmmmmmm.......abdominal bloating which I butcher into abominable gas...........have the same explosive problem myself. I learned my lesson to watch what I ate, drank, or took while animating mascot costumes. Fresh broccoli with cheese dip is deadly even if it does taste yummy. I am convinced also that the disease we all share causes abominable gas without any help from what we eat. I have heard that Parkinson's can also play a large part. I am sure that Hazel wishes she was somewhere else when we have gone on some of our walks. She muttered something about an old horse trotting along, she also prays as we go along not just for the neighbourhood but also about my bloating. I know our dog Miss Silky heads for the other side of the road when things get moving. Blessings +Dave
Guest guest
Hi, I spent ten years trying to get doctors to look at my bloating and pain on the right side. They did a lot of x-rays but did not find an answer. Until I did the new method of swallowing a camera in a pill, that goes down your system for six hours, sending pictures to a pack (computer) that you wear on your side in a little packbag, then they read the pictures, (over 2,000 in all) my answer finally was my gallbladder was stuff, plus five stones, and a groin hernia. The relief I now have is fanastic. They had been telling me since I was thirty that the pain and discomfort was my I.B.S. (bowel). Gas was terrible. Food also had no relation to the gas etc. I can now eat without any trouble, I only eat meat once a week but I have been doing that since I was in my twenties.
