Guest guest
Iris, Congratulations - it is nice to hear good news. I am very happy for you - and yes I would be pounding on the dentist's door if I was you. Aren't our children just a trial...we try so hard to keep them out of harms way and in the end they go their own way. I wish your daughter would listen to you as this seems to be a bad situation all the way around but I will hope and pray for the best. Maybe becoming a Father will change him for the better. You are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless, Althea
Guest guest
Hi Althea, It is good to hear from you. I know that the situation with my daughter is not in my control and being a prayerful parent is all I can be. I have benefited greatly by reading the book " The Power of A Praying Parent " by Stormie tian. With counseling and my new church, I have found some much needed inner peace. How are you? I see that your weather has been crazy too. My step-daughter slept in the closet last night and has been without power for quite a number of hours. She has quite a mess in her refrigerator. We only had some limbs blow down as the storm went a little easier on the south side of town. We are still expecting storms today. I hope that it waits until I have to pick my son up from school. Today is the last day of school. Yes, yes, yes...I can sleep in! I know that quite a few of us have insomnia problems but my problem is not being able to go to sleep until 1-2. The Elavil allows me to sleep for at least 6 hours straight. I have always been a night person (especially during the summer when it is soooooooooooo hot here). I hope that you have a good day! Guest guest
Congrats shelly! I am so happy for you! I felt like you right after surgery as well. Just remember to relax still, I tried to go back to work too soon and beat myself up because I just wasn't 100% ready yet! Anyhow, congrats to another successful explant! I know Sis just had her explant as well last week. > > I haven't written in a while...but i am writing to say with joy that I > successfully explanted on Friday 11/11. I feel sooooooooo great! Guest guest
Congrats, ! What a relief you must feel. You've turned a corner and now you can truly get well. Just make sure not to do too much for awhile. Give your body the rest it needs. I was explanted a week before you, Friday the 4th. Some symptoms backed off, while others seem to have been restimulated, like muscle pain and fatigue. But I'll be patient. I am definitely sleeping better--not waking up all night like I was-- and my skin has already improved. Keep us posted on how you do. Time to celebrate! xo Melinda hooray! I haven't written in a while...but i am writing to say with joy that I successfully explanted on Friday 11/11. I feel sooooooooo great! I seriously feel better than I have in months. I can breathe again! I feel as if literally a weight has been lifted! I haven't slept better in months! Praise the Lord! I had my drains removed this morning and am in the sports bra. I am so thankful to be free and to be me again! Thank you for your support and prayers. So many times I almost cancelled because I felt crazy. I am so glad now.Any word on others who are a few days post-op?

Guest guest
Hi , I had my explant a week ago today. I'm very happy I don't have to worry about them anymore, I hated having a foreign object in my body. I'm knocking on wood here because I know this could change, but I do feel a change in the joint pain and the brain fog. From what I've read, symptoms can continue to come and go, so I don't want to set myself up for a let-down, so I'm just living in the moment. I don't regret getting them out, I only regret having them put in. It feels good to have my smaller breasts back. My drains came out Friday and I too am wearing a sports bra. Guest guest
Hi Rogene, as one of the recent explant-ees, I must say the weight of the world is off my shoulders now that the implants are out of my body. I'm trying not to rush things as far as recovery goes, because I know I'll get frustrated if I expect to feel great in a short period of time and it takes a while. Immediately after the surgery, all I wanted to do was eat healthy food - it's like a switch flipped and I no longer craved any of the junk I started eating right after I got the implants. When I got the implants, I started craving junk food, which is something I've always avoided. Maybe if your body is being poisoned, it craves more poison. Now I crave healthy food. I don't feel great just yet, although my joints are feeling better and the brain fog seems to have eased up a bit, too - but I felt like the guy from Alien must have felt with that little creature in his chest! Guest guest
Thank you so much for asking. Yes...I have thankfully been able to work. I actually only took off Friday, the day of surgery. I worked until Thursday evening and then was basically back on Saturday. I only got called one time on Sat thankfully and had to work for about 10 minutes on Saturday and then had a break til 7am today. I felt so great today. It was really easier today working than it has been in the past few months. Was I really that affected? It is incredible. I seriously feel like a new person. I can't believe it. And, this is 3 days post-op. I can't wait to see the difference in a month! I am so thankful to have this behind me. I encourage anyone considering this route to go forward. I don't regret it. I am so excited to be me again! Thank you for praying and for asking how I'm doing! God bless you! Rogene S <saxony01@...> wrote: . . . Thanks for the update . .. Guest guest
Good for you ! That's wonderful news. Just be careful and don't overdo it. You just had major surgery, and it does take time for the body to heal. > > > I haven't written in a while...but i am writing to > > say with joy that I > > successfully explanted on Friday 11/11. Guest guest
- congratulations on your explant. What a weight lifted off of you (figuratively and literally!). Take it easy for a few days. More than one recent explanter overdid it too soon. Rest and be good to yourself for a couple of days. Guest guest
, Is there anyway you can do, as a doctor, to impress on the medical community what breast implants are doing to women? It's strange, sad, awful, criminal, that this has gone on for so long with so little support from the medical profession for women made ill by breast implants! Guest guest
Sis, It's thrilling to hear you are doing so well and actually craving healthy foods! . . . I'm sure it was those nasty bugs wanting the junk . . . God has given the body an incredible ability to heal itself - if we give it the nutrition it needs to repair. Guest guest
Rogene - it is really amazing when I think of it, because I CRAVED junk from the day I got my implants in until the day I got them out. Today I had yogurt for breakfast, a nice salad with grilled chicken for lunch, came home and cut up some fresh pineapple, and I can't wait for my evening snack of cut up fresh veggies!! I found this juice called Green Goodness and it's really good, too. My body still feels pretty awful compared to how I was just six short months ago (although the joint pain is slightly improved), however I want to heal my body and get it back to a healthy place. I just got off the phone with my gynecologist, too, because it dawned on me that I probably need to get off the pill if my blood pressure has spiked (it was always low, and about a month and a half ago, it suddenly became high). He told me to stop taking it tonight. Sis > > Sis, > > It's thrilling to hear you are doing so well and > actually craving healthy foods! . . . Guest guest
Robin, I know how you feel. I am constantly amazed at how far and easily I can walk. I'm coming up on six months and it's as if I'm back five years ago when my knee worked. It is really remarkable and I think anyone suffering as we did should consider it. -----Original Message-----From: Joint Replacement [mailto:Joint Replacement ]On Behalf Of levan_53Sent: Friday, June 29, 2007 11:17 AMJoint Replacement Subject: Hooray! For the first time, and 9 weeks to the day post RTKR, I went to the grocery around noontime and did the whole place, every single aisle (some twice), without pain or limping - it was normal like it hasn't been for over 4 years! Now, I did have to use some ice in the early evening, but WOW - the surgery, the pain, the discomfort, the frustrations, the setbacks, the PT, etc., has been absolutely worth it. I'm all but completely off Percocet (maybe one a week after I've overdone it working in the yard for 3 hours +). I hate to sound like Sally Field, but it works! it really works! Couldn't have made it through without you all! Joy and regards, Robin in NWFlorida
