Guest guest
Not sure whether this is an adrenal or thyroid question. I have been taking Isocort for about 5 weeks now, and started Thyroid S at very low doses 3 weeks ago. I am currently taking one grain split in three doses over the day. Today I woke up with a fluttering in the adrenal area (something I have come to realise is an adrenal symptom - for me anyway)despite no change in dosage, no stress or trauma, and no other severe adrenal symptoms. The only thing that has happened in the last week is that I had a filling removed - and felt rough for a few days afterwards. Today was the first day since that I felt better. I had a few mild other adrenal symptoms - some shakiness, but nothing severe. This fluttering went away after I had taken my dose of Thyroid S - which I upped to half a grain this morning. A few hours later (lunchtime) the fluttering comes back - no other adrenal symptoms. So I have now taken another half a grain, and will see what happens. Has the fluttering come back because my body is demanding more thyroid hormone? Does this mean that my body is ready for an increased thyroid dose? This is a mystery to me - has never happened before. How long does the thyroid hormone last in the body? Does it wear off after a few hours? Any input appreciated.
