The article that appeared in the paper this week caused some serious

problems because of the title the editor attached to it. He has

apologized to me and is printing a retraction. While we were on the

phone I mentioned that I was upset that the article made light of my

implant issue. He didn't think it did, but suggested I write a

letter and that he would print it this week with the retraction.

Here is a copy of the letter...

Dear Editor,

I am thrilled that the Other paper chose to do an article about my

Exotic dance classes here in central Ohio. However, I was a little

upset at the way my business was portrayed. Although I used to be a

stripper many years ago, that is not what my classes are about. In

the early nineties, as an actress and model in Hollywood, it was the

status quo to have breast implants. I made the huge mistake of

following suit and getting them myself. They nearly killed me! It

took a decade of suffering, of not being able to work, and of

doctors pushing prescription drugs that only made me feel worse,

before I was able to discover the truth about my implant related

illnesses. No one in the medical community wants to admit to this

silent epidemic that implanted women are suffering from. I was

fortunate enough to have had my implants removed in June of this

year and am now almost fully recovered. I want to share my story so

that I might prevent someone from making the same mistakes I made.

The idea to teach the exotic dance classes came to me as a way to

empower women. I want women to feel good about themselves in such a

way that they won't ever feel the need to alter their bodies with

cosmetic implants. I want to be able to share my experience while

teaching women how to dance in such a way that makes them feel a

little bit better inside. I hope that after taking my classes women

will be more self confident and less inhibited. These classes are

growing in popularity across the country. Central Ohio is one of the

few places that has not offered an exercise program of this nature

and I am very excited about bringing it here. For more information

about me or the classes I teach readers can go to www.dolphin-

dance.com.

Thank you,

Titko
