I received something too that was a list of items and books for

sale. I did not respond to the person, but it happened soon after I

first posted here. So, I suspect the person is getting our email

addresses when posts come via email.

hopefully she isn't too ill that she can respond...if not we will

just have to keep an eye out for people trying to sell us stuff and

disrupts our group here.

Oh, I'm sorry if it sounded like I was complaining. I really am

happy to be here and think you all are doing a great job. I just

wanted to let you know that I was another recipient. The only thing

I was thinking was Yahoo would take it more seriously if you had all

our experiences.

Dear Vicki

If you received the same message that I did advertising for a cure, then

I think we haee a " list miner " in our midst, since Janet said we didn't

have such an address subscribed. The e-mail originagted from

ffiance@.... YAHOO has a very strict policy regarding spam mail,

so I sent the entire message, complete with full headers, to

abuse@... for them to handle and close the YAHOO mail box. A list

miner is someone who joins the list under one address and gets the

addresses of anyone who posts and solicits them with spam from another

e-mail addresss. The use of two e-mail addresses makes it virtually

impossible to detect a list miner's true identity (I am the listowner on

two Christian cancer lists, so I speak from first hand experience with

these vermin).

As we all know, there is NO CURE for fibromyalgia. The first person to

find one will be a millionaire many times over! The rule of thumb

regarding products alleging to help or cure a disease is that if it

sounds to good to be true, it probably is.
