They were really nice too, however, it was before I got FMS/CFS so I don't know how they would be now. Dh got sick and had a wonderful doctor who called to check on him and talked to me to see how I was doing too. He was great. His peers pushed him out of practice though. About a year after our visit, he closed down. I had a wonderful doctor who was not only smart, kind and patient, she actually cared about her patients. She left the hospital here and started commuting to a private practice two hours away from me. I actually considered petitioning my insurance company to let me cross state lines to continue to see her. I will probably do that or just give up on doctors completely. Today is a super, duper, extra toppings, high pain day. Hope you are feeling better. Take care and soft hugs, Star Dance

Hi Amy, That is wonderful. I am glad you have a great doctor you trust. I really think half the battle of any chronic illness is being taken seriously and heard. I'm very happy you have that. Guest guest
I have to tell you, I got a pleasant surprise today in the mail. I knew my new Rheumatologist was great, but I didn't really know how great. She personally called my Internist to get a copy of my most recent lab work (the Internist is great too. Must be something about female Drs and/or Albuquerque). Then Dr. Dean had a copy made and sent it to me with notes telling me where things had improved such as my SED rate on the Anti-inflammatory Oxaprozin, and where I should have other tests done, like my TSH (Internist already has that scheduled). I never had a Dr. handwrite me a not and send me a copy of my labs before. I've had good Drs. in the past, but I'll stick to the adjective Great when talking about Dr. Dean.
