Hi Everyone,

My surgery is set for 11/10 and I was wondering if anyone can give me

some insight on how my recovery might be. Like pain and ability to get

around and back into my routine.

I remember my ba surgery (4/13/05) and how much pain I was in , I

couldn't even flush the toilet or lay back in bed with out help.

Is the pain the same or not as bad?

I am the type of person who needs to know all the details to prepare

myself.

I posted yesturday about the betacarotine and other things I am taking

for pre-op and I did not take the betacarotine today and I feel a

million times better. Strange huh?

Anyway thatnks for ALL your help

, explanting is 100 times easier than implanting. You will feel

mildly uncomfortable from being bound in the bandages and having the

drains, but the pain is minimal. I never took a pain killer and I went

to the mall 24 hours after surgery to shop and have lunch with my

husband. Now don't get me wrong, I moved slowly, but I was fine. Have

plenty of extra pillows ready to prop yourself up with in bed. The

drains make it difficult to lie comfortably. I think you will be

pleasantly surprised at how different you feel as soon as you wake up!

Good luck!

Hi ,

The great news is that explant is a piece of cake compare to the

implant surgery! I did not experience any significant pain, (did

not have to take any pain pills), and was up and about in a matter

of days, compared to implant surgery which felt like weeks! That was

such a painful surgery, so it's good news to know you don't have to

go through that again!

Some of the girls have even said that they went shopping after

explant surgery with their drains in, or sightseeing, or whatever.

Everyone is different, but you will want to rest, of course, but I

remember feeling very ready to get out of bed and get going with

life again. I did not want to stay in bed any longer than I had to.

So, you can look forward to a pretty easy recovery, physically, from

explant.

It's the other part, the immune system stuff, that takes such a very

long time to heal. We'll be thinking of you and praying for an

excellent surgical outcome.

God bless!
