Guest guest
Lianne, When I first started my challenge and began supplementing with Myoplex and Betagen, my skin broke out as well. I read somewhere that creatine can cause this because it dries out the skin, sending all available water into the muscles. The article suggested drinking more water to solve this problem. After doing so, my skin began to clear, too. It was either that or else the body slowly getting used to the extra creatine in the system. I was wondering what the tip for taking 3 shakes a day meant. I currently only have 2 a day to save money. Is this daily allowance not going to be enough in the long run? Also, when you are traveling, how will you be making your shakes? Taking a break from it all? Good job on your success so far. Keep up the great work. Guest guest
Damian- Thanks! Whew, it wasn't just a female thing (the acne). I did change cleansers and increase my water consumption (I drink literally about a gallon a day, was at a minimum of 96 oz). I had commented in an earlier post that I suspected I wasn't getting in enough protein, which I wasn't. Someone suggested three shakes a day, and that seems to be helping. Sometimes I sub in cottage cheese and some fruit for one snack, depending on how my overall eating had been and if I needed to give up some calories. The package recommends 2-3 servings a day, so I don't think it matters which way. I pack three meals in with me to work every day, and it has been working out to pack in a shake (mixed up) so far as one of them. I bought the ready-to-drink ones for the weekend (*gag*) and some bars (*half a gag*). Survival food... long car rides, 8 hrs each way. -Lianne > Lianne, > > When I first started my challenge and began supplementing with Myoplex > and Betagen, my skin broke out as well. Guest guest
Woohoo Lianne!! Great results so far. Take some pics of the parts that are starting to look really cut anyway, even though you don't have any pics of before to compare to. You will soon have some more pics as your BF drops to compare to the present ones. Keep up the good work! You are rockin' and rollin'! Guest guest
Jen- That's what I'm thinking... some thigh closeups (ewwww), etc. ;-) I think I ODed on lettuce over noon... even all that talk of chocolate (shame on you guys...lol... I am definately a recovering chocaholic) isn't appealing right now. ;-) -Lianne > Woohoo Lianne!! Great results so far.
