Tonight is " brain surgeon " night, I guess.

One of my dispatchers was taking a call from a gentleman who thoughtfully

spelled his name for her: " That's Bob, with one O. " Okaaaay, as opposed to

" Bobo " or maybe .. even... " Boob? "

And just a few minutes ago, another caller reported a DUI to us, specifying that

" there was only one driver in the car. " Uh huh. GOOD thing, 'cause we'd

simply hate to arrest TWO DUI drivers out of a single car! (Maybe, if there'd

been another intoxicated party in the vehicle, s/he could have been RUI: Riding

Under the Influence?)

<rolling eyes>

The cool thing is that we had a new officer in here on a sit-along, so he got to

see that we don't make this stuff up. <grin>

There is one thing I have come to learn in 15 years of doing

this job,the pay stinks,I am solely here for the entertainment the

fine citizens provide for me by making these calls to us.
