Guest guest
Patty, Thanks so much for adding those two very important categories, birth defect and breast cancer(reconstruction) to the reasons for getting breast implants. My case is so complicated and unusual that it's taking Dr. Blais a long time to figure out where I stand in Dow Corning's settlement claims. In fact, I really need to find a rheumatologist who will do an " expert report " showing that I'm AT LEAST 40% disabled, not just 20%, because it would make a difference in how much I end up getting from Dow. The fact that I'm on SS Disability isn't enough proof for Dow because there are other factors figured in to my total disability, in " their minds " anyway. According to Social Security, my disability is partially based on depression and the long-term effects of my birth defect, although, in reality, those things never stopped me from working before. It wasn't until a few years ago, when my implants started causing permanent pain and problems, that I was unable to work and function like I used to. Ya know, I always tell myself, I don't feel the least bit guilty about being on Disability income because the FDA, a federal agency, made me sick, and now I'll gladly let them support me. I'm too sick to work and it's their fault. What goes around comes around...... Dianne
