Guest guest
Hi Limin, Is the lead researcher in the autism study Mikovits? I'm a CFS patient and tested negative for PCR, positive by culture. This is the first time I've heard of any supplement, let alone SAMe, be recommended by a WPI researcher for XMRV. Did she explain the rationale behind it? Treatment to bridge over to the drug cocktails they've publicly declared to be the recommended treatment approach? Thanks for posting this! joey > > > > My son's XMRV test came back POSITIVE. Surprised, right? Nah... Just one more thing to throw on the top of the already collapsed pile of infections... > > > > Pramila spoke with the lead XMRV researcher and learn from her that SAMe is the recommended treatment. I am looking into Designs by Health. SAMe oxidizes easily. I like the fact that the Design by Health brand has individual tablet wrapped in a blister pack. But I don't seem to be able to find the detailed product information to confirm whether or not their SAMe contains any yucky stuff such as magnesium stearate, stearic acid, titanium dioxide, etc. Does anyone has the detailed info on this product? Or, is there a clean brand of SAMe you will recommend? Thank you. > > > > Limin > > www.healthbylimin.com > > Young Living Distributor ID: 1111136 > > >
Guest guest
Hi , I believe that the lead researcher is Mikovits. Pramilia can help to clarify or confirm this. Pramila gave a presentation on ChARM tracker software to parents and doctors at one of the SF bay area autism conferences last month, which Dr. AW and Dr. KB (both DAN doctors) and the XMRV researchers also attended. Pramila learned from that occasion that SAMe can be a helpful treatment to individuals with XMRV and shared this information offline with a couple of us. More information is needed to understand the reasons of this suggestion. There has been a discussion on this subject in the group for which Pramila moderates. She will be following up the researchers to get further information on the possible treatments. I copy and past below one of my posts in that group. Hope this help to clarify where we are at this moment. Limin www.healthbylimin.com Young Living Distributor ID: 1111136 ------------------------------------------------ Hi Pramila, Would you also help to find out the reason why SAMe has been suggested as a possible treatment for XMRV? I would like to understand if the researchers thought to support methylation cycle for silencing retroviruses such as XMRV, or if XMRV actually inhibits or interferes with the activity of MAT enzyme (Methionine S-adenosyltransferase), which catalyses the synthesis of S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe) from methionine and ATP. If it in deed impacts methylation cycle by inhibiting MAT enzyme, it will be helpful to further understand whether it is causal or opportunistic, in order to put an appropriate treatment protocol together. It is great that we have you as our parent ambassador. Thanks a bunch in advance for digging further on the possible treatments. > Hi Limin, > > Is the lead researcher in the autism study Mikovits? > > I'm a CFS patient and tested negative for PCR, positive by culture.
