What antibiotic are you on? Some antibiotics can cause this as a side effect.

Have you spoke with your doctor about this? Also, you could be herxing. What do

you do for detox? Perhaps cutting back on the killing protocol to see if your

body feels better. Blessings, Meo

in. The ringing is still brain maddening but im getting used to it (i miss

silence). Im not sure if the abx is wwhat caused the ringing due to damage to

the ear or its the lyme or bart attacking nerves. I do have the slightest

hearing loss in the left ear at 8k but hardly noticable. Bought a coil 3 months

back and have been coiling ever since. My herxes seem to be fatigue/naseua/ear

fluttering/ headache/nerves firing. I do have to say its tough to tell a herx

sometimes from normal day to day feelings. Im looking for thoughts or anyone

out there who has major problems with ringing in the ears? i think it has all

to do with the nerves which is bart and lyme right. Also, am i correct in you

coil twice daily for bart and everyother day for babs? obvioisly build up to

that over time. Ahhhh i need help with ringing in the ears.

JK - welcome to the group!Tinitus (ear ringing) is very common in Lyme patients. I only get it once in a while so hopefully more folks will chime in about it.You are correct on your coiling protocol for babs and bart. BE CAREFUL, remember it is Pace not Race. Do not over do. That coiling schedule is for someone who has worked up to it. Whose herxes are managable and their detox protocol is well into place.  If you cannot tell your herx from everyday illness, you maybe herxing continuously and this is NOT good.

What are you doing for detox?Best,

I was on zithro/mepron/flagyl but stopped all when the ring developed(llmd said

ok)plus i was angry at the thought the abx may have damaged my hearing ototoxic.

I never had ringing in the ears but got it after 3 months on abx. LLMD is

unsure if abx caused ring or bugs did it. After 5 months of major detoxing the

ringing has not stopped. I had to go on xanax and cymbalta to cope but have

since weened off cymbalta and started weening off Xanax, ring is still loud

though. Detox wise - infrared 3 times a week/CE/Epsom Bath/ 100 ounces of

water day/lyme diet/ excercuse 30 minutes daily. I completely changed my life

when the brain maddening tinnitus started. I just dont get it, such a bummer

on the ringing. Any advise on nervous system rejuvenation for nerve problems

is welcome. My nerves are blown out

JK,Nerve damage can be (at least) two part:1. Direct nerve damage due to pathogens2. Adrenal crash - For me, my hyperstartle reflex as well as paresthesia (pins and needles) is due to adrenal crash.Best,

I am so sorry to hear that the abx might have caused damage to your hearing. I

have read about it but do not know a cure. What has your doctor said? Does it

just take some time? Maybe an Acupuncturist who also works with Chinese medicine

could help. Blessings, Meo

I had the same problem with the ringing and echoing and even deafness. I was also beside myself with thoughts that the abx did it to me and that I would be permanently damaged but then I slowed down the pace and even got switched to different abx and my hearing came back. I wasn't even going out or talking to anyone or even watching tv because the sound distortion was too much for me to bear.My hearing came back along with other functions I thought I had lost. I have since moved to rifing and more herbal based protocols mostly.Hang in there.Sent via BlackBerry by AT&TSender: Lyme_and_Rife Date: Fri, 15 Jul 2011 14:21:17 -0000To: <Lyme_and_Rife >ReplyTo: Lyme_and_Rife Subject: Re: Coiling -Ringing in Ears I am so sorry to hear that the abx might have caused damage to your hearing. A hearing doc has said no way the abx caused it but how does he really know.

Most people dont take abx for extended periods of time. My llmd isnt sure and

other docs say maybe. Its all a big grey area which is right on par with

fighting lyme. Theres no real easy answers. I tried acupuncture and it seemed

to make it louder. i need to bring my nervous system into balance somehow. I

dont think the ring will ever go away but hopefully the loudness is cut by at

least 50%.

I had an increase in symptoms from acupuncture too when I first went. I spoke to

the acupuncturist about it and we decreased the time that the needles were in

and we decreased the number of needles too. After that I had success from

treatment. They can also do a moxibustion or something like that to make the

affect deeper. But I would try again with acupuncture and asking them to go real

easy.

Some of the side effects for the antibiotics that you mention are hearing

problems. I cannot remember which one off hand, but if you have the slips that

came with the antibiotics from the pharmacy you can read the side effects. I

really hate it when doctors do not want to admit that a drug caused a problem --

perhaps because they do not want to take the time to report it -- I don't know

but it really " bugs " me.

I hope you find something that works for you -- perhaps contact an herbalist.

There are many herbs that might reduce these symptoms... Blessings, Meo

Hello JK.

I do have tinitus each time I herx like now and as long as i do no tmange well the detox.

My experince is limited because most detoxes doe snot work for me so only

Welchol and colonics worked powerfully still the low volume Ce in th emorning helps a little bit

as well as suppositories of gluthations orally it is mostly lost and intrveinously cost too much .

burbur also from nutrmedic a little bit . Little bi tby little bit we grab what ever we can .

Hoping detox will put you back little by little in track .

Jim, do you constantly move your coil?  I hold mine for at least 1 minute, usually 2, over an area (once I've worked up to it). I got these instructions from " the man " D.Mc

Jim, are u doing just MMS and supplements for your current .... " new " lyme-tick

bite? Do you have plans to get another " coil " ? I am just curious as to your

approach on self-treating at the moment. Jodie L.

OK, so you were never a coiler! I didn't know that. Or maybe I forgot!

So you must be ramping up your MMS? I've heard there was another FDA raid recently. I hope it's old news.

L

I've been on MMS only for almost 1 1/2 years! Stopped salt/C in early 2010, but still take both, just less, and stopped using the EMEM in mid 2009...Still progressed just on MMS, but felt it was a bit slower, maybe because all the easier Lyme areas were cleared, now digging deeper.. Don't know for sure though.... Jim> > >> > > Jim, do you constantly move your coil? I hold mine for at least 1 minute,> > > usually 2, over an area (once I've worked up to it).
