Guest guest
I am thinking it's because of adrenals too because normally I have really low blood pressure 100-110/ 60-75. It's been as low as the high 80s over the low 70s before. And now my bottomnumber is getting over 100 and it's kind of scary. Today I took some magnesium and a good mult-vitamin that another doc gave to me and I actually felt better although I didn't take my blood pressure after feeling better. Then this afternoon the nervousness/tension came again and wouldn't let up so I took another mag and vit when I ate and I feel more calm. Don't know if it's the mag or the b vitamins in the multivitamin though that's helping or a combination of the two. Guest guest
It took a few days. But we are talking major stress, anxiety, depression!!! You must also be aware of the things that are causing you anxiety and make a conscience effort to take deep breaths, relax and be here right now, not worry about what's next, what if, etc. etc. it becomes a bad habit as we are unable to do the things we could before... if you are anything like me you are an A type personality... when you are unable to do all the things you could, it doesn't mean you automatically change. Everything does happen for a reason. It seems it is time for many of us to learn patience and love for ourselves all around... once we do it cannot help but be relayed to everyone around us... ; ) Mind you it took me a good 5 years to get to this place... and it is still daily work. I have it 24/7.I am sooooooooooo hoping the adrenal support and thyroid are going to stop it once and for all. Guest guest
Well strangley enough... a doctor had me doing all of this. It was a few years ago. I became overwhelmed with caring for my disabled son and forgot all about it and moved and had to get a new doc etc. etc. etc. I could not see change because there was no rest involved. You can take the pills all day long, but if you don't give your body a chance to heal it won't... Therefore I was trying to make a comeback from giving birth, my son dying and being brought back to life, my being misdiagnosed and not knowing I had Hashimoto's until I was almost dead, a car accident that left me with permantent back and neck damage and premature oestoarthritis, and the list goes on. I kept going into adrenal shock again and again, they thought I had strokes heart attacks this that the other... finally I realized my last time of many in the ER after the doc said he was putting me on 2 weeks bedrest (I told him "I could not be, I had to take care of my son" and he said "if I did not, I would not be around to take care of my son" I cried for 2 days and realized I had to let my son go with his Dad... So, after hitting rock bottom and trying this that the other and seeing every doc there is available (even being turned away from UCLA's pain clinic for having "too many medical problems")) I came upon a letter that was finally returned from 2 or 3 years ago... The doc that had me do the saliva test for my adrenals and told me they were shot also told me about a dentist as I was testing very positive for mercury poisoning... I went and had them removed... was I cured... ??? Yes! in a way... One of the layers of overwhelming medical problems was removed and gave me the strength to continue my many years of searching which had come to a halt. Then I find - www.stopthethyroidmadness.com, the rest is history in the making... I apologize for the book of an answer... but I just always imagine a girl like me out there, desperate and at the end of her rope finding this letter and seeing there is hope!!! So if i repeat it every now and again, it is just "in case"... it is also a great reminder to me of where I was just a couple of weeks ago (agoraphobic, weak, ready to give up, unable to think straight... or see straight for that fact..., etc....) where I had been for years, compared to where I am now!!! "What a difference a day makes"... I, once again am soooooo lucky to be here... so lucky to find you and am so lucky to have a 10th of my life back!!! Because up until now without my son my quality of life was 0 and quickly deteriorating... I may not have him with me and I may not be able to while he is still young (as he takes much physical strength), but the thought that I will be able to finally spend some time with him and be there for him as a mother should makes me the most thankful person in the world that I have found generous, caring, giving, open hearted people like I have here and at stopthethyroidmadness.com. Guest guest
Pamela what a heart wrenching story you have. I am SO sorry you had to go through all you have been to get here, but I am glad you found us! People like you are what keeps me here on these forums trying to help others. There is SO much need for real answers when you are so confused as adrenal fatigue leaves you and so brain dead as the low thyroid leaves you it is so hard to know what to try and who to listen to. I come from a family of mainstream medical nurses! You would not believe all the lectures I got when my BP got so high I was a stroke waiting to happen,. But till then all they had to offer was that I should get a real job and I wouldn't be so fat & lazy. YUP from my family. After I lost all my self respect I found hope and life again on Internet forums that saved MY life. So I am passing it on. I am still fat and lazy but I have my own business now, no thanks to anyone of my family, and I can move without scrambling for air, and I have my pets and my computer night life, which is enough for me now! I hope all of us get to be as happy a I am now in the near future and can live our lives to the fullest extent. -- Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Then again because the adrenal shock attacks happened unannounced and for years... NO ONE knew what it was!!! ALL OF THOSE DOCTORS WHO SAW ME... 10 + times!!! But back to what I was saying. They don't speak to me and I carried that around and cried for a long time about it, beating myself up and feeling guilty for not being able to care for my son... I felt worthless. But, it's o.k. I am strong, I have always taken care of myself and I need to be strong for my son. I am finally finding out how important boundaries are for people like us... Guest guest
No, I don't have a good doc. I have a new one I'm going to try out on the 3rd of april which is only a week away and I can't waitto get there. I began having them 5 or6 years ago when my pcp supposedly over dosed me on synthroid--eventually the major ones subsided over about 1 1/2 years, but I would still get the little flutter thing going. About a year ago when I found a doc that would give me my thyroid med back (armour) they all went away until about a month and a half ago when I couldn't sleep and I got up the next morning to take my morning dose (2 1/2 grains) and I felt weak, my heart was racing and I was shaking--Oh yeah, and it's really hard to breathe during all of this --my mouth dries out and when it stops I am running to the bathroom to pee every few minutes. And then I'm exhausted, but can't sleep. As of right now, I'm not taking my armour. a Re: Re: Isocort & weight gain? Do you have a good doctor??? Are these heart palps new to you??? Guest guest
>>So, which adrenal support is the best? I've heard about the Isocort, hyrdrocortisone, Cortisol, and it seems like there are others that have been mentioned.<< My preference is Hydrocortisone. Cortisol is the natural hormone in the body and though HC is synthetic it exactly matches the Cortisol in the body. Cortef is brand name HC and Isocort is an adrenal glandular that contains Cortisol and other adrenal hormones as well as echinacea. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
