,

I know nothing about the scientific reasons . . . The

spit test was published by the people who sell

ThreeLac to demonstrate the need and effectives of

their antifungal product.

They claim (wrongly) that one can get rid of yeast

problems by taking ThreeLac for thirty days. At the

time I tried it, they didn't mention the sugar or diet

issue.

What I've found is that the spit test accurately

reflects how closely I follow a antifungal diet or

take antifungal supplements. It also tracks very well

with how I'm feeling. Since I've " gotten in touch "

with how I feel when I'm having a fungal problem, I've

been able to accurately predict if I'm going to test

positive.

Numerous women have told me they've had other healthy

family members take the test . . . The other family

members usually test negative while they test

positive.

Why sugar? . . . Sugar feeds fungal problems. If you

want to see what sugar does to yeast, you can do your

own experiment. Using equal amounts of warm water in

two cups, put one teaspoon of yeast in each. In one

cup, add a couple teaspoons of sugar. Then watch as

the sugar feeds on the yeast and the yeast grows more

quickly in the cup with the sugar than in the plain

water cup.

Since those of us who have been sick with implants not

only have a suppress immune system, but have usually

been treated with antibiotics and steroids, we are

highly likely to have a problem.

Only one woman, , who posted here recently, has

said that she never had a problem. Most of us do to

the extent that Dr. Kolb routinely treats all her

implant patients for systemic fungal problems both pre

and post surgery.

Patty posted and excellent post about the negative

sides of sugar. IMHO, one of the biggest problems many

young people are having with learning is related to

their sugar rich, nutrient poor, diet.

I hope this answers some of your questions . . .

Hugs,

Rogene
