If you're fighting full blown, systemic fungal

problems, it's best to cut out the sweet fruits for a

while. Grapefruit or lemon, etc. is OK. Later, when

you're over the hump (you won't crave sugar any more

and will be feeling better), you can start adding

fruit back into your diet a little at at time. Then,

instead of using sugar, use honey (non-processed is

best)! It tasted good almost any place that sugar is

used.

Instead of refined grains, you can eat whole grain

breads . . . The yeast used in bread is not the same

kind of yeast that causes health problems. It's OK.

Patty has done a lot fasting . . . From what I'm

reading about fasting, it's one way to quickly get the

sugars that encourage yeast out of your system. I'm

not one to fast, but I found the one I did left me

feeling energized and great!

" The Maker's Diet " describes the whys and hows of

eating a really good diet. Rubin, the author, calls it

a 40 day plan to health. I'd find it impossible to

switch to that diet suddenly though - unless I was

really sick and desperate to get well. Right now, I

consider it more of a guideline to a goal.

Once you begin feeling the benefits of eating healthy,

it becomes self-motivating to do more. You'll find

foods that you really enjoy that you've never

considered before.

Since one of the problems with getting better is

overcoming stress . . . I'd suggest easing into any

program and not stressing over it. Getting better is a

process. It takes patience, time and commmitment! Be

kind to yourself . . . Love your body! . . . and give

your body the food it needs to rebuild itself.

Dearest :

I had the worst headaches before my ruptured breast implants were removed.

My head ached so badly that I would have to hold my head up, my neck was a

mess too.

Honey, I think that once you have these toxic implants removed you will not

have headaches. I still get mild headaches, but they are rare. I'm sure that

some of the other ladies will comment on this too. The last few days I have

been having peanut butter and honey sandwiches for lunch, no problems yet!

Stay close to these wonderful ladies and you will get help...love

Hi ,

I agree, the whole detox diet and eating appropriate foods can be

difficult at first until you get used to making it a way of life.

Even so, I find it hard to stick to it 100%, so please don't beat

yourself up over it and feel that you are a failure if you don't eat

perfectly according to the protocols that are out there. I don't

think anybody can do it 100%--there are just too many temptations,

occasions, and social events to be able to avoid eating some

standard American diet fare.

Dr. Weil has a pretty good book out called 8 Weeks to Optimum

Health, and in it he takes you through 8 weeks of changing things in

your diet a little at a time, step by step. It makes it fairly

simple and is quite effective. This would be a good introduction to

making those changes in ways that are easy.

God is faithful, and I am so happy to know you are experiencing the

greatness of His mercy and forgiveness! I am so glad you found this

site too, and I know that through your perseverance and faith, you

will get better. I went through the same things, regarding what God

was doing if we'd only listened. It seems alot of us experienced

that little nagging voice in the back of our minds that this might

be a mistake, or a glitch in events that might have given us a way

to back out, a second chance to change our minds,or whatever. There

are so many women getting sick, and now we are in a position to help

them, which is the best way to use this experience to the full

potential that God wants us to. Stay positive and hopeful...there

are many, many women getting better after explant and you will too.

Yes, I have done alot of fasting and find that it makes me feel

fantastic. I just did a 3 day fast recently, and am ready to do it

again, I felt that good on it. It completely energizes after you

get over that first day hump and allows your body to dump alot of

stuff. It also took away joint pain completely!

Anyone doing a fast should be educated about it, however. I read

several great books, including Dr. Fuhrman's called " Fasting

and Eating for Health " . Good book. I think it is also significant

that people have fasted for centuries, including those inclined to

fast for spiritual reasons. Devout Jews fasted twice a week, on

Mondays and Thursdays in centuries past, and so I feel it is a safe,

God ordained practice with great benefits, both spiritually and

physically.
