Our minimun the shift was 7 people, so even with someone having leave or having a trainee, there were plenty of people to get the work done. Now, we are down to 21 dispatchers who have completed the training program. Two are out on extended sick leave, I'm in the police academy and one of the supervisors is having a problem pregnancy and is under doctor's order to work no more than an 8-hour shift. So we are now back on 12-hour shifts and are lucky to have 4 people where we used to have 8. The stress level is through the roof right now! We had only been back on 8's for 3 months, and we had to go back to 12's to get people to do overtime. Michele Hriciso Homepage: www.thecluster.com E-mail: E911Tigger@...
