Guest guest
Hi everyone! Sorry to drop out of sight in the past week or so, but I've been having trouble getting back in the swing of things after my vacation. I am cross-posting this from the NTH group. I haven't gotten a response there yet, so I thought maybe someone on this group could answer. Thanks, Amy I just got my antibody results from Health Check USA and wanted to get your impressions on what they mean. I had the TPO tested with my saliva test, and it was negative. Here are the blood levels: Thyroid Perox AB <10 Reference: <35 Thyroglobulin Ab 303 Reference: <35 I don't understand the significance of having one normal and one elevated. What does that mean in terms of how my thyroid is functioning? Does this have any impact on my treatment? Do I need to completely suppress my thyroid to avoid further antibodies? Does this mean I definitely have autoimmune problems? Does this confirm that I have Hashi's? Thanks for the information and help. Having one come out negative, just means that particular antibodies not one of your problems but the other one is! Treatment is the same, full replacement of thyroid hormones with Armour will stop the antibody attacks and make you feel better. This also means it doesn't matter how your thyroid is functioning, you will still need full replacement doses as you want your thyroid to stop functioning. When it is producing hormones, it is calling to those antibodies for an attack. By shutting it's production down the antibodies are not attracted to it and many die off (or so I have read), but at the very least your thyroid isn't under attack and causing symptoms just from the attack aside from your low thyroid status. -- Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
