Guest guest
, The list of problems systemic fungal infection is long and involved. I'd suggest reading a book devoted to the issue. " The Yeast Connection " is an old, but still valid book. There are other books that are equally as good. Issues caused by fungal problems range from minor to fatal! In our modern world, with all the antibiotics and sugar-laced foods, it's a huge problem! Much larger than most doctors realise! I was fortunate to have a doctor who did recognise the problem. All of Dr. Rubin's books are built around establishing and maintaining a healthy digestives system by replacing beneficial organisms that have been lost. Many doctors will scoff at the idea! . . . If your doctor doesn't take it seriously, I'd seriously consider finding another doctor! Doctors have some tests that can show fungal problems. I don't know what they are. The problem is that all of us have most of these organisms present. The imbalance of organisms is the problem, not their presence. This morning I posted an article on Antibiotic uses that gives an excellent overview of the importance of beneficial organisms in our body. When our immune system is suppressed, or we take drugs like antibiotics and steroids, the beneficial organisms are killed along with the bad ones. Unfortunately, the bad organisms are hardier and return more readily than the good ones. On the other hand, if we have an abundance of beneficial organisms, they keep the negative organisms in check. Exactly why we have more fungal problems, I don't know. Dr. Kolb considers it important enough to start all her symptomatic patients on a protocol to treat fungal problems before and after surgery. You can also learn a lot about systemic fungal problems by doing a web search . . . Use " fungal " " yeast " and " Candida " . You'll be amazed at what you find!
