Pricing for OutsideTests

Hi all!

I have a question about the pricing for evaluation tests done outside the

transplant center. We commonly pay these based on the applicable Medicare fee

schedule for our area, as that is what Medicare would have paid had the test

been done here for a non-transplant/donor patient. Occasionally a living donor

has testing done in another area whose Medicare reimbursement would be

different. In that situation is it better to price using the fee schedule for

the locality of the testing facility or our own locality?
