Guest guest
HI C.J. I realize I was confused but not everyone was confused. It was not meant as a criticism , just an observation as I saw it. I do read, i don't skim but I did get confused Cheers Lowry www.brendaandwaynefamilypetservices.com Owner/Head Trainer Dyno Dogs Performing Dog Team Professional Dog /Pet Sitter Professional Dog Groomer ABTA Certified Trainer Behavior Consultant Aggression Consultant C.A.P.P.D.T member Ontario East Regional Rep C.A.P.P.D.T. Guest guest
Hi CJ, I know what means in the sense that there is a lot of stuff flying back and forth on this list. As a moderator I try to read as many posts as I can, but it is not possible to read them all, even tho I'm not employed at the moment. When there are contentious issues I go back through the archives as Yahoo does a decent job of threading them, but even then, it's a LOT of reading. When you talked about your difficulties in another group, I didn't pick up on that fact right away (even though you said so .. I think the story was spread over more than one post) and you wanna believe I was checking the archives to make sure whatever it is didn't happen here. That took half an hour to read all the various threads and get it all straight in my own mind. On this board, as in real life, a lot of busy people can only skim. I used to be astounded by that ... in real life. I'd be thinking OMG, don't they LISTEN? But that's how it is ... lots of folks are miracle workers as it is, doing all they do, so I've learned that it's really important to be clear in my meanings and try to leave out anything that could be confusing or construed as sarcasm, even if I don't mean it as such. Even then, sometimes I fail... and maybe it has nothing to do with my own AS, it's just like that " telephone " game ... we did that in a class I took earlier this year, and holy smokes, by the time the message gets to the 15th person, it's completely different! - Helen > > << I do think confusion can set it very easily if we discuss things from > other lists, I don't mean anyone is divulging names or personal info but > I think that commenting on things that have happened on other groups > during discussions here, can be confusing to listers on this board. > Maybe I'm the only one who gets confused about this. > Comments ? >> > > > Honestly? I'm not taking issue with that at all. I guess that I'm just from the school of thought that says, " If I don't have the time to read, I sure don't have the time to respond intelligently or in context. " Just me too....
