Guest guest
Hi Rogene, Good idea! I will call Dr Blais. I spoke to him several times in the months following explant and he was always very kind and answered all of my questions. He may even be able to recommend another surgeon in MA who would be able to remove the rest of the tissue. My new primary care did say that we would have to look into that if things did not begin to improve. I never did try to talk to Dr Darrow again because he had been so arrogant I just didn't think it would have done any good. I had expressed to him several times during my post-op visits how upset I was that he had not removed all of the capsule. His attitude was that it was not that big a deal if the body didn't reabsorb the tissue it would just close down into a little ball that could be removed later. I really believe a big part of it was that he had run over in time on the surgery he had done before mine, and he had people lined up after me and he just couldn't be bothered to take the extra time to thoroughly remove all of the capsule. Pretty sad huh, my health could be determined by someone elses scheduling problems.Rogene S <saxony01@...> wrote: , I do remember your experience! Maddening! Have youspoken to him about what he did? Patty has the master file that lists recommendeddoctors. I'm hoping she will update it! Or at leastcaution women to get it in writing from these doctorsexactly what they commit to do. I agree that we need to remove doctors who do notremove implants properly after telling patients thatthey would do so.I find it strange that some doctors can remove thecapsules everytime while others claim it's todangerous! Is it a matter of time? Or skill? An idea just occurred to me . . . could you call Dr.Blais and ask his opinion on retained capsules vs.elevated liver enzymes? He's a very nice man who wantsto help us. I know he's very busy - but he may havethe answer you need.Hugs and prayers,Rogene Music Unlimited - Access over 1 million songs. Try it free.
