Guest guest
Hi fellow Aspires (and to anyone reading this).. I wrote the what I did below on February 18th, when I mentioned about going on a date after work. It spawned a number of responses, from people congratulating me to others posting on dating in general. When I went on a first date with this one woman after work that day, she and I had spoken an incredible much (in other words, a LOT) with each other prior to the date. So, we didn't go into the first date, feeling as if it was a first date. But, rather as if an extension of what we had been talking about to that point. So, it didn't feel strange or anything as such. But, as two friends who were seeing each other in person for the first time. Not sure how to explain it any better than that. Fast forward to now. April has been here in Chattanooga for her spring break (she teaches kindengarten in her school district) since Saturday last week, as she has relatives in the area. Prior to her coming up here this week, we have been talking on the phone daily (except when she feels wiped out, etc.). On Saturday evening last weekend, we walked across one of the bridges that connect downtown to the other side of the river. We stopped and looked out at the Tennessee River. Then, she turned towards me, and the conversation went like this: Her: " I've enjoyed getting to know you since we first chatted, and I've especially thought about you this past week. " Me: " Oh yeah? And what were you thinking? " Her: " I thought about all the times we have talked on the phone, in person, and all. But, I've especially thought of you this a lot this past week. I want to see you and no one else. " Me having an airhead moment: " So, are you telling me you want to be exclusive with me and just me? " Her: " Yes. " We kissed just right after that conversation, and enjoyed the rest of our date that evening. Then, we met on Sunday. Then, on Tuesday and Wednesday. Then, we'll meet on this Saturday evening (to watch her half-brother's band) and Sunday morning/afternoon (to go to services with her, then to meet her family), before she heads back to her school district and the end of her spring break. Then, about another eight weeks before she moves up here for good. Her mom lives just over the Georgia side of the Tennessee/Georgia state line in greater Chattanooga, and April will be only five miles (eight kilometers in metric) from me. We will be dating more frequently (which will be awesome). Good things happen to those who wait, and they are happening to both April and me. I'll stop here. , dx'd officially in 2007 and documented in 2010 > > Hi all.... > > Just letting you all know that I am going out on a date when I get off of work today.
