Guest guest
Hmmm, this is a first! I don't think I've seen any other woman who had it done in a private clinic in a home, even though I have heard of these kinds of things happening. I would not have a clue about how to investigate this doctor, other than going to your state's medical board and inquiring there. Good luck! Guest guest
Well nothing surprises me with plastic surgeons. The PS who put in my implants advertised as being board certified - and he assured me he was, back in 1984. He was not board certified and was never eligible to be board certified. He also was responsible for a woman's death, by improper administration of anesthesia, cited for inadequate record keeping, insurance fraud and by the time he finally lost his license, he had 3 criminal counts of sexual assault against him... He was a real charmer. > >> > >> After 8 years of having these, how can I research the doctor who put > >> them in?I am in Canada...is there a site or some where to look to > > see > >> if there have been complaints ect against him?I am not very internet > >> savy. > >> > > I would also like to find out if there is a way to see any other > > complaints. Guest guest
Hi Kenda, I'm doing okay. We suffered some damage from the hurricane, and just got electricity on this morning. Our wind insurance is horrible - like $6,000 deductible, so most of this repair will come out of our pocket. That's what we get for insurance when we live close to the ocean in South Florida - we can only get insurance through the state. I'm pretty discouraged about that, but we had no choice. Other than that, we are doing fine. My husband and I and our pets came through without injury. We are having the huge trees removed - one that fell on our house, and the other that fell in our neighbor's yard. We have quite a bit of damage to the exterior of our house, but no major structural damage that we know of. I do know I never want to go through a hurricane again! > >>>> > >>>> After 8 years of having these, how can I research the doctor who put > >>>> them in?I am in Canada...is there a site or some where to look to > >>> see > >>>> if there have been complaints ect against him?I am not very internet > >>>> savy. > >>>> > >>> I would also like to find out if there is a way to see any other > >>> complaints. Guest guest
Thank you Patty ... We survived the hurricane, but our huge trees did not. It's going to take a long time to cleanup & repair the roof and sides of the house- especially with our wind inusurance which probably won't cover any of it. I truly despise insurance!! I am on the phone now to verify our deductible - afraid it is like $6,000 which would just about kill us on finances... But we'll take it a step at a time. I'm just so discouraged right now. The good news is that we got our electricity back. I took a hot shower this morning which was just heaven. > > > > Well nothing surprises me with plastic surgeons. > > The PS who put in my implants advertised as being board certified - > and he assured me he > > was, back in 1984. Guest guest
Molly, I bet these past days were very trying for you! I am so sorry, but so glad to hear things are back to normal with the electricity. Ugh, insurance....not fun, but I am sure there are literally millions in the same boat right now. Between Katrina, Rita and Wilma, yikes, I am sure those insurance companies are reeling and swamped with paperwork. It sure doesn't make your life any easier, does it? One step at a time is right. You'll get through it...hang in there and have faith! Guest guest
Hi Molly, What a nightmare but thankfully you and yours are all fine. Did you stay at your house when the hurricane came through or did you leave? I can't even imagine the wind force! We have tornados here but I have never seen one. We have been forced into our closets a couple of times when tornados have been close but they never veered our way. Kenda > Hi Kenda, > I'm doing okay. Guest guest
We stayed at home. This was the only time in the last few years we did NOT have a mandatory evacuation! Presumably this is because there was no storm surge, and the city underestimated the wind force. We also thought it would be minor -- boy were we wrong! We watched in horror as our huge black olive tree (probably 30 or 40 ft tall) swayed and snapped -we were sure it would crash through the window or through the house. As it turned out, part of it landed in the pool, part of it destroyed the fence, and part of it landed on the roof. Insurance says they will pay (toward deductable) to have it removed from the house, but not taken out. How in the h** doe you divide that cost up? Of course, insurance likely will not pay anything, since I'm sure they will find a way to keep the cost under the deductable. I despise insurance -- it's a real scam. We have paid in for years and years, and now we probably won't even recover... the deductable is actually closer to $7,000 than $6,000. It is very strange - During most of this week, i have been pretty upbeat, without electricity. But now that we have electricity, and the extent of the damage is sinking in (and the extent of the huge deductable) I am in a funk. I felt like crying this evening. > >>>>>> > >>>>>> After 8 years of having these, how can I research the doctor who put > >>>>>> them in?I am in Canada...is there a site or some where to look to > >>>>> see > >>>>>> if there have been complaints ect against him?I am not very internet > >>>>>> savy. > >>>>>> > >>>>> I would also like to find out if there is a way to see any other > >>>>> complaints. Guest guest
I made it through all week pretty upbeat. Today, after we got back electricity, I just went into a funk. Maybe it was finding that our insurance deductible is $6700. I hate insurance. Maybe it is just a 'letdown' after the adrenalin rush of strange circumstances....I don't know. I do know we will have to tap into what little retirement we have to pay for house repairs. That really hurts. But it could be worse. > > > > > > > > Well nothing surprises me with plastic surgeons. > > > > The PS who put in my implants advertised as being board > certified - > > > and he assured me he > > > > was, back in 1984. Guest guest
Hi Molly, I'm sure you have been running on adrenalin, getting everything done that needed attention right away. I'm not surprised that you are very emotional now. You have been through quite an ordeal! Be sure to take good care of yourself so you don't crash and burn in a couple of weeks. Is all of the damage to your home wind damage? It is amazing how insurance companies put caps on certain types of damage. We have a per incident cap on mold coverage. With our water claim we were lucky in that very little of the bills were for actual mold remediation. I have heard of other companies refusing to pay for even water damage if mold is involved. Our company has been quite fair and only putting special measures regarding mold, ie, testing, air chambers, etc. into the mold policy. Everything else, even where areas are moldy, have gone into the water portion of the claim. You're the legal eagle, you can get them to pay. I hope everything goes as smoothly as possible for you getting everything back in order. Take care, Kenda > We stayed at home. Guest guest
Molly I am so glad to hear that you and your family came through the hurricane ok! That is what is most important! I have a nephew in Ft. Lauderdale area and he is still without power. Hopefully the hurricanes are over for this year.
