Guest guest
Thank you, I did have my thyroid checked and it is normal. I just recently went off birth Control pills after 18 months and I am wondering if the change in hormone has done it. If all else fails theres always hair extensions:) Maybe some other ladies will respond. swtlilblonde31 <swtlilblonde31@...> wrote: I too am losing my hair like mad and for a long time was not sure if it was my implants or because I bleached my hair for years but I am 99% positive it is being caused by my implants, I don't see breakage on my hair. I don't know what to tell you because I am scared mine will never grow back and I have lost over half the volume of my hair. I plan to explant too but I may have to wait until after Christmas and I am not even sure I will have hair left at this rate if I have to wait.It is embarrassing and humiliating to say the least. My husband says I look beautiful still but I know he can tell it is thinning terribly. I would advise you to email Dr Kolb about getting on some supplements. She is really good about helping with all areas of the implant problems including hairloss. Also make sure you have blood work done for thyroid and any other hormone that causes hair loss, there may be a deeper problem then just the implants. Best of luck to you.>> I am so worried about my hair. It is falling out similar to after I > gave birth to my children. But this time it seems worse. Will it ever > stopo falling out. Guest guest
Normal thyroid can range from 0.5 to 5.0, but just because it is 'normal' does not mean it is normal for you. What was your result in numbers? Lynda At 06:59 AM 10/25/2005, you wrote: >Thank you, I did have my thyroid checked and it is normal. Guest guest
Thanks ! . . . I'm so glad you're here to add a professional explanation! I'll probably have to address thryoid issues again since my TSH is slowly rising. I have several goiters that started while I was implanted. We had a request for a plastic surgeon in Houston who will remove implants properly. Could you recommend a doctor there? Guest guest
My doctor said mine was normal also, and it was not. It was in the normal range, but normal for me is about 1.5, and if yours is above 2.0, I would be suspicious.
