Guest guest
Anyone have experience with this stuff: www.mymoxxor.com? A patient has used it successfully for his dog's arthritis and wants to try it on himself. I was initially skeptical that it was better than other Omega 3's, but the University of Wisconsin Dept. of Family Medicine Program in Integrative Medicine says this in their patient handout on osteoarthritis (which I've attached): New Zealand green-lipped mussel extract. This shellfish has been studied because the Maori people in New Zealand eat a lot of these mussels and have less OA than others. Significant improvements have been found for dogs with OA, and these supplements are safe. However, effectiveness is still in question according to recent reviews. FYI, I found the handouts on their site helpful (U. of Wisconsin, not Moxxor): www.fammed.wisc.edu/integrative I see now they have some pod casts for clinicians; I haven't tried those yet, but will. Moxxor seems to be sold as a pyramid scheme, which I find annoying but am wondering if anyone knows anything more about it.
