Guest guest
Thanks Molly . . . this is a good article! I wonder why the medical profession isn't up on this? It sounds sooooo important! Years ago, I had a young cousin who was a very sickly baby . . . Until she got sick enough to crawl around. She got outside and found some dirt to eat. Of course, they stopped her as soon as they saw her. . . But, from that point on, she was a healthy baby. One of my current friends told me she craved dirt to eat when she was pregnant . . . so she ate dirt. As soon as she delivered, the craving left. However, one of her daughters also craved dirt when she was pregnant! NPR had a broadcast about the importance of these organisms in our body. The " expert " said there are organisms in our body that cannot be repopulated once they are killed off by overuse of antibiotics. All the more reason to be very careful about taking antibiotics! . . . Nevertheless, they are lifesavers when used correctly! Rogene
