Guest guest
But still, why do it? TransforMED finally got something right For once I agree with Dr. McGeeny: From my state chapter (CAFP): For Practices Large and Small, Here's Good News About the Patient-Centered Medical Home by Terry McGeeney, MD, MBA TransforMED President & CEO"TransforMED has worked with more than 500 primary care practices nationwide in their efforts to adopt the TransforMED PCMH model of care," said Terry McGeeney, M.D., MBA, president and CEO of TransforMED. "Our experience has shown that small, independent practices with fewer decision makers are more nimble and actually have an easier time transforming to medical homes than larger practices in integrated systems." Guest guest
I am not really considering doing this at this point, but when I read through what they want, 90% we are already doing in our small practice with an EMR. I think I could write the necessary documents in a weekend, and our EMR is moving to incorporate all of the necessary steps for the Medicare reimbursement anyway. Maybe we should all take a section of the project and write the practice guidelines and share them across the group. A bit of specific editing and voila, we would be done. ________________________________________ From: [ ] On Behalf Of Eads [michelle.eads@...] Sent: Friday, June 04, 2010 9:55 PM To: Subject: TransforMED finally got something right For once I agree with Dr. McGeeny: From my state chapter (CAFP): For Practices Large and Small, Here's Good News About the Patient-Centered Medical Home by Terry McGeeney, MD, MBA TransforMED President & CEO " TransforMED has worked with more than 500 primary care practices nationwide in their efforts to adopt the TransforMED PCMH model of care, " said Terry McGeeney, M.D., MBA, president and CEO of TransforMED.
