Hi Christy,

Your experience mirrors many of the women here. Where are you?

Saline implants, as they age, can enlarge on their own. And your symptoms

are those of a syndrome we recognize from many others with either saline or

silicone implants.

Christy,

Most of us got better when explanted. Read the stories on this site and

you will find many, many women who are normal, or close to normal since

removal. Just be sure to have them removed properly.

Hi Christy,

Also, when you gain weight you will gain in the breasts as well.

It sounds to me like you need to find a competent and compassionate doctor - and

this

doctor does not sound like either.

Hi Christy. I'm having my implants removed on Monday 11/7 after

having them for six months. I have trouble sleeping, anxiety all the

time, my muscles in my arms and legs bother me, my lymph nodes are

swollen, my joints are swelling up and are painful. I'm having

problems keeping weight ON, but I know many have complained of

gaining weight after implants. I have the same fears as you, that

I've done permanent damage to myself - but I know that getting them

out is better than keeping them in, because people just continue to

get worse with them in. I hope to be like most of the women on the

site and notice marked improvements after explantation, but I know

that keeping them in guarantees that things will stay the same and

get worse. I feel for you and I'm glad you found this site. What

state do you live in? I'm traveling to Ohio for my explant and I

live in New Jersey.

Welcome Christy. First let me tell you that you are not alone. The

majority of us have been through numerous doctors that didn't belive

us and thought we needed antidepressants or antipsychotic drugs. I

personally had a doctor tell me that I was crazy and that I needed

meds!

Fist things first, pick out a reccommend surgeon and schedule a

consultation. If you are far away some of the doctors on our list will

do an initial phone consult. Thn once you do that, you will realize

that there are doctors who know the truth and do believe you.

All of the symptoms you are experiencing are " normal " for implantees.

I had about 20 extra lbs that literally fell off since my explant. I

also gained breast tissue and am a little larger now than pre implant.

This is an invaluable source for information pre and post explant, so

stick with us and you'll learn so much to help in your healing process.

Hi Christy,

I am so sorry you are having all of these problems! Welcome to our

group....I am sure we can help you through this nightmare. If I can

help give you hope, I will tell you that I am really doing well

since I took those nasty things out of my body! But to be honest,

it was a long, long journey of healing. But the good news is that

almost everything cleared up. The only thing I was diagnosed with

was Hashimoto's thyroid disease, but I am not taking any meds right

now for it and feel fantastic every day. I need to get it checked

again, but I really do have my life back to the full.

The weight does not come off as easily for me, but I am older than

you, so it probably has alot to do with my age (I am over 40 and

that's when it seems things start to go south!)

Have you started looking into finding a doctor to get those things

out of you? We have a list of doctors that have been used over the

years by various women who have claimed to have good experiences

with these doctors, but we are always looking for more good docs.

We have a few that have become very trustworthy to us and who have

the knowledge of doing a proper explant. The most important

decisions you can make right now are getting those implants out and

getting them out RIGHT by a doctor who understands the need for a

total capsulectomy! They can't just be popped out of your chest!

Take a look at our list (in the files under doctor list) and let us

know if you have any questions. Hopefully you can get those things

out very soon....we have three women undergoing explant in the next

few days or weeks and so you will have alot of company as you begin

your healing journey after implants. But the good news is that

there is alot of hope.

That is wonderful that you are in an RN program! You are going to

be very knowledgeable about breast implant problems and hopefully

can help alot of other women, because the medical doctors sure

aren't helping much!

Your best bet after explant is to begin a detoxification program.

We have found that in general, it is the women who are avoiding

drugs and pursuing natural healing through various detox efforts

that are seeing the most long lasting improvements.

Christy,

Wecome to Saline Support. You sound like sooooooo many

women who come here! . . . Just hang on a little while

until we can find a doctor who will take your problems

seriously! . . . You can feel much better, if not

completely well. Where are you located?

We can recommend some natural products that may help

you feel better until you can get those toxic bags

out! . . . Not exactly scientific medicine - but maybe

better because it works so well and so safely!

Please check through our archives for other's

experiences as well as programs to improve your immune

system while you detox.

I'd suggest paying your current doctor a visit after

getting your implants out . . . just to tell him he

needs to get an education about what implants do to

women!

Hugs and prayers,

Rogene

Lynda you are so right. I can't believe how far things have come for

me and how fabulous my health is and I do not have a doubt as to why.

Lifestyle changes sure, but more than anything it has to do with those

implants being gone and then just time and being wiser and doing all

those healthy things.

I am 100% better. I even finally have normal feet. The last of my

symptoms to go was my painful feel. They freedom I am now

experienceing with this last dreadul symptom being gone is so amazing

I can't get over it. I actually can and do wear the cutest little high

heels and feminine girly pumps and love it. I know it sounds silly

but, I am and always be into fashion and also exercise and being able

to finally put the foot issues behind me is this most amazing thing. I

had the most excruciating painful feet for about 3 years of so after

implants destroyed me and as all the other dreadful things disipated

the foot thing clinged on makeing life unbearable on some days.

happily that too has gone for apparently good now after about 18

months of no pain I am enjoying being able to run again, as well as

dress up in high heels. It seems a small and insignificant thing, but

to me it was the final symptom to leave me and I am just excstatic

about . It also seems silly to feel so excited about this but, when

your feet hurt life is truly a misery.

I am happy to annouce that my feet are fabulous again adn while I try

not to be reckless about high heels it is fun to wear them to work and

with a desk job not too dangerous either.

I love my life, and I am sure that you can relate to the feeling of

being well and loving all that we are blessed with.

i hope that your life is treating you well as well.

Hugs

Sis,

Good luck on your explant. I think you are so smart taking this step!

Our bodies are remarkable -- many of us who have been very very sick have

improved,

with time. I still have a long way to go, but my health has improved

dramatically in a year

and a half. I had 'double lumen' - saline and silicone- for 20 years!

I am so glad you are having the implants removed now!

Please let us know how you are doing....

Thanks so much, Molly. I knew after about two weeks that my body

didn't like these things, and I remember thinking that I'd give it no

longer than six months and out they'd come. Well, Saturday the 5th

it will be six months, and out they come on the 7th. It's

encouraging to hear that you're improving after 20 years of having

implants, that really gives me hope. I just want to get on with my

life, I feel like I've been in limbo ever since I got them in. I was

downsized after 24 years with a major corporation, and I've been

going to school for the last few months, and it has been so hard to

concentrate while feeling sick. Last semester I was getting all A's,

but this semester I'm working so hard just to pass. The teachers all

know I've been sick, they don't know why but they know I'm struggling

because I'm ill. Being sick made me fearful that I'd never be able

to work again. I didn't want to get a job until I had these things

out, because I knew my performance would suffer, and I also didn't

want to get a job only to take time off for surgery. I'll definitely

keep everyone posted. The length of my stay depends on how long the

drains have to stay in, so I should come home sometime between

Wednesday and Friday.

Thanks, and also my thoughts are with you as you continue to

improve. Hope the hurricane didn't set you back too much, it sounds

like it's been quite an experience.

you certainly have many of the same problems i have....the " proper

noun disorder " , rib cage and sternum pain, i also have terrible

headaches and shoulder blade burning, on top of exhaustion....i am

still searching for a doctor who believes i am not crazy....having

found this group, read a million articles (i also have nerve damage

from my surgery), and emailed with a couple of caring women, at least

i know I know i am not insane.......as my battle with insurance and

the medical field continues, i have the comfort with me, that i am

not alone, and that many women have been used/abused by those sworn

an oath to " do no harm " .......i hope you keep visiting here, and find

that comfort as well..........many blessings on your journey to

healing........

Hi Christy. your story sounds almost exactly like mine symptom wise!

I had my saline implants explanted a couple weeks ago. 10/19. please

check out my story on explantation.com under Jenna. I am 29 years

old, had them for 8 years over the muscle..and I too am very tiny! I

was scared to death of the outcome but couldn't take all of the pain

and disgusting symptoms that went along with it. (vertigo,

migraines, rashes, itching, sensativity to light, pain, numbness in

arms and hands, hair loss, memory loss....) Please feel free to

email me personally or call me if you would like once we exchange

emails. my email is jgalatis@.... It has been 3 weeks

now and I am feeling so much better. my numbness, pain, vertigo

rashes and itching have gone away completley. I know for a FACT that

my implants were causing me to go thru the hell that you are

experiencing now. Please know there is hope for you! You have many

other women who will help support you thru this who is going thru

the same thing and as you can see from my pics there are SKILLED

surgeons out there that can do wonders. I was a 34B-C before

implants, 34D after and after 8 years of stretched out skin over the

muscle Dr. Kolb gave me a beautiful lift and I feel so much more

confident about my body. I look so much more slim now and I am PROUD

of my 34B. I am still healing, my nipples are still scared and

puckered a bit but will heal in time. Again, feel free to email me

personally, i can send you some updated pics on how I look now.

Please take care of yourself...oh and by the way, since Feb. I could

not sleep thru the night. Since my surgery I have slept LIKE A BABY

every night.
