Welcome to Saline Support! It sounds as though you

found a living hell!

Your story sounds all too familiar. . . We could

probably tell you what your other symptoms are!

Considering all that's going on with you, I'd suggest

getting your implants removed ASAP! . . .

Regardless of who removes them, the entire capsules

MUST be removed! . . . Preferably the doctor will

remove them " en bloc " . . . to ensure nothing spills

from your implants into your chest cavity. If your

plastic surgeon doesn't take this seriously, show him

some of the information we have about bacteria found

in breast implants, and the necessity to remove all

the capsule to get rid of this bacteria.

Chances are your implants were contaminated when you

got them . . . Your surgeon probably knows this! . . .

Getting an implanting doc to admit implants he or she

placed are causing problems is tough. So . . . getting

them to remove them properly is even tougher.

I'd have a long talk with your doctor. Tell him what

you know and see if he'll level with you. If you feel,

in any way, you're not being taken seriously, find

another doctor. Your life, or quality of your life, is

at stake.

Some women have experienced toxic shock from the

bacteria that was in their implants. They have lost

limbs . . . some have lost their life. I don't tell

you this to scare you . . . but to let you know that

you need to take your symptoms seriously and get

proper care soon!

If you are going the medical route for treatment of

the bacteria they found . . . ask them to determine

which antibiotic to use via a culture before

shotgunning with everything. You may find some relief

with natural therapies like raw, crushed fresh garlic,

oil of oregano or olive leaf extract.

I'm sure you've already read what we recommend

diet-wise, etc. If you have any questions, let us

know.

Something to keep in mind when doctors run tests and

they come up negative . . . THEY DON'T FIND WHAT THEY

DON'T LOOK FOR! When you're sick and you come up

negative, tell them to keep testing until they figure

it out!

I'm sorry if I sound short . . . I'm very upset that

women's health problems after getting breast implants

are taken so lightly! It appears that most of the

doctors are either stupid, or they don't want to know!

Hugs and prayers,

Rogene

HI I live in Columbus Ga and like you am having symptoms...but all

the doctors swear it isn't my implants all but one I found in

Atlanta. Her name is Dr KOLB and she is the only one who not only

believes me and has treated hundreds of women with implant problems

but has suffered herself from them. I also wish to heaven I didn't

have to remove mine, I suffer from low self esteem and I remember my

small breasts and how I felt about them. But I also don't want to be

diseased or dead before my time. I am losing tons of hair and it all

started with the implants, lost probably 50% of the volume. ALL my

blood tests were normal. To be honest it would be good to remove mine

for my daughters sake as well, I don't want her to think poorly

about her body regaurless how she develops ...but I am scared at how

my husband will react since I met him with implants...it is my fear

as he has stated he doesn't care about my breasts size. If you ever

want to talk just let me know.

Hi - I'm having mine removed on 11/7. I got implants on

5/10/05 and within a week my body was reacting. I knew it was the

implants, but everyone around me kept reasoning with me that it

wasn't them, so I was confused. After spending the entire summer

feeling anxious all the time, having symptoms continue to get worse

or developing new symptoms (joint pain, throbbing fingers and toes,

sore lymph nodes, muscle spasms in my feet, legs, arms, hands,

dizziness, blurry vision, throbbing temples), I decided enough was

enough and they have to come out. The people who I've leaned on for

support definitely came around to my way of thinking - that the

implants are making me sick (including my counselor and my

gynecologist). I'm not going to my original PS, because he doesn't

believe they're making me sick, and I found a PS (Dr. Feng in Ohio)

who not only believes they make people sick, but takes great care in

removing them. I'm counting the days at this point, I just can't

wait to get these things out of my body and end this horrible chapter

of my life. Up until recently, I was pretty pathetic - but now that

I'm taking action I feel so much stronger emotionally. I'm angry,

that's for sure, but at least I'm not crying all the time anymore.

I've got a mission and my mission is to get my life back.

Dear ,

Wow! I'm not sure what I could say to help, since you have spent

some time monitoring the posts on this wonderfully informative site

and listening to so many women who have faced similar symptoms. I

guess the only thing I wanted to tell you is that you should probably

follow your instincts to remove the implants (and capsules) and give

your body a chance to recover. If that fails, and you don't feel any

better, you could always put them back in at some point if you wanted

to. My gut feeling is that you will feel better, and maybe

completely recover. I did.

Are your implants saline or silicone? Mine were saline, I developed

sever Rheumatoid Arthritis, Sjogren Syndrome and muscle twitches.

After being on disability for the best part of a year, given only a

2% chance of recovery by my RA doctor, I finally followed my instinct

that I needed them removed, after these wonderful women shared their

stories with me, and also after looking at the resources they provide

here, etc. Upon explant, I started feeling about 50% better. Within

the next few weeks I was about 75% better and within a few months, I

was completely better, and have been completely healed for about 9

months now. The lab that examined my implants came back with a

report that verified that both of my implants had faulty valves and

was leaking contaminated fluid into my body. I'm so glad I didn't

just go on taking the tons of medication I was on, and never working

again! Because my implants were under the muscle, my little breasts

went back to the way they looked before, and I didn't even need a

lift.

I was one of the women who had an opportunity to travel to Washington

DC and protest at the FDA against the approval of silicone implants.

While I was there, I met a lovely lady named Sheryl. She has

silicone implants that have been leaking into her body (visible

bubbles of silicone under her breasts) and she has symptoms that

sound just like yours. She is trying to decide how she can get them

removed (no insurance), and if she really wants to do it, because she

originally got them because of a low image of her double AA breast.

As her pain and suffering continues to elevate, she has shared with

me that she has now decided to get them out in a month or so.

We all know how hard this decision is, but sometimes the pain gets to

the point where you can't go further and you give this option a try.

There are no guarantees that it will solve your problems, but there

are hundreds that will stand with me to say that they are better

because they tried this possibility.

I will keep you in my prayers. I know when I asked the Lord if this

was what I should do, he sent several people the next day to tell me

to try it. A few weeks later when I was waffling on whether or not

to do it, I asked Him again. This time He sent my sister (who lives

in Australia and who I only talk to once a year if I'm lucky). She

sent me an e-mail about a girls' weekend she had attended where there

was a women who had suffered problems like me, was very sick, had her

implants removed, and who had totally recovered (and received a large

sum of money from the implant company).......I said, " O.K. Lord, I

get the message! " , and had them immediately removed. I would suggest

you also continue to pray, He is so faithful to give us help, He is

the Great Physician!

All the best,

Tammy (a)

Hi - I think you have come to the right place. I just had

mine removed on Wednesday, and am doing pretty good, even went to

church this morning, though I snuck in and out because I didn't want

to explain why I couldn't have hugs. Sounds like you have had such

a horrible time, and I really feel for you. My pain had gotten so

bad, and had gotten to the point that my rheumatologist wanted me to

go on toxic medication for the pain and inflammation - I didn't want

to do that, and really felt that having them removed was not only

the right thing to do, but the ONLY thing I could do, as no one had

an explanation for my illness. I am looking so forward now to

getting well, and I hope the same for you. Thank you for sharing

your story. It really helps to know that we are not alone in this.

You show me a really good man and I'll show you

someone who doesn't care abour your bra size! . . .

Would you reject your husband if some of his physical

features were less than movie star quality?

I don't think so! . . . Physical appearance may be the

initial attraction. After that, it's the person inside

who makes or breaks a relationship.

Tammy - Thanks for sharing how the Lord led you. He did me too.

After a prayer for healing, He led me to the knowledge that the

implants were making me sick. I feel so much closer to Him through

this whole experience, and can't wait to see how He will use my

experience for His glory. Cherie

Tammy,

I'm so glad you are feeling well again! . . .

I met you in Washington, D.C. too . . . I'm sorry we

didn't have more time to visit!

For those who don't know Tammy was in an MTV show

depecting the downside of breast implants. . . Patty

has a copy of the show that Tammy, Shari, Colleen and

Kacey appeared in! . . . Am I missing somone??

They have been great at spreading the word about how

sick women can get because of breast implants!

Hi - I'm having mine removed on 11/7. I got implants on 5/10/05 and within a week my body was reacting. I knew it was the implants, but everyone around me kept reasoning with me that it wasn't them, so I was confused. After spending the entire summer feeling anxious all the time, having symptoms continue to get worse or developing new symptoms (joint pain, throbbing fingers and toes, sore lymph nodes, muscle spasms in my feet, legs, arms, hands, dizziness, blurry vision, throbbing temples), I decided enough was enough and they have to come out. The people who I've leaned on for support definitely came around to my way of thinking - that the implants are making me sick (including my counselor and my gynecologist). I'm not going to my original PS, because he doesn't believe they're making me sick,

and I found a PS (Dr. Feng in Ohio) who not only believes they make people sick, but takes great care in removing them. I'm counting the days at this point, I just can't wait to get these things out of my body and end this horrible chapter of my life. Up until recently, I was pretty pathetic - but now that I'm taking action I feel so much stronger emotionally. I'm angry, that's for sure, but at least I'm not crying all the time anymore. I've got a mission and my mission is to get my life back. Sis >> Hi Girls! I have read your stories for months and now I feel like I > need to tell mine. Cherie and Tammy,

What a blessing to know that the Lord has been allowed to play such

an important part of your healing, just like He did in mine! In

fact, I tell people that I have even been thankful for this

experience--(the anger had to go)--because it has taught me things

about myself and about God that I couldn't have learned any other

way. And it was only by crying out desperately to the Lord for His

help and guidance that He was able to answer me in the way that He

always does....with grace, mercy and compassion. He is such an

amazing God...Thanks for sharing your faith!

Hi ashley

Welcome to our group. I am so glad that you found us! You need to

get those implants out! It will make a world of difference to your

health! Please make sure you find someone to remove them properly

as that is really important! Since you have been reading here for

awhile, you probably are aware of that need. I had alot of your

symptoms too and my heart is entirely back to normal and my

dizziness and weird brain fog is entirely gone. So too are all the

severe pain I had in my hands and arms and fingers and toes. I

would recommend that you go to a different surgeon than your

implanting surgeon. A surgeon that believes in implant illness and

has done many of explants is your best bet. Good luck!
