I usually don't wear antiperspirant at all because it clogs the pores and is suspected in contributing to the causes of breast cancer. When I did a websearch for " Purity cosmetics " , several natural product lines came up . . . I haven't tried any of them yet. The Miracle II has a product that can be used as a shampoo, as a toothpaste or many other things! IMHO, the reason they can say that women get autoimmune illnesses more than men is because of the number of personal care products we use! I like the Giovanni " Tea Tree " shampoo & conditioner. It's so hard to find shampoos & cosmetics with no chemicals - even in health stores. In Ft. , Co, I met a woman named " LIly " , of " Lily of Colorado " cosmetics. She told me of these brands of shampoo and said they were the only ones on the market that are completely natural. I have since researched it, and found she was correct. That was a few years ago, and there may be others now, but I am very happy with Giovanni. Lily of Colorado has a good cleanser, too - it is 'seaweed cleanser'. It is hard for me to find here, though. I use Aubrey soap, and like it very much. Aubrey has some great hand creams too. They are not cheap, but they are well worth the price, because I get rashes so easily. If you'd like to try making your own scented ones, www.essentialwholesale.com sells wonderful cosmetic bases that you can add essential oils to. Nearly all of their products are 100% natural, but they have to say 90% natural because just a few aren't. I have tried almost all of their products and I like the majority of them. I make all of my products out of their bases and have had wonderful feedback on it. I know they have at least 4 different shampoo and conditioner bases, also melt your own deodorants. If you read the website you'll discover that they supply some of the well known brands that you would pay much more for in the stores. I read that castor oil soaked in flannel, applied to the abdomen, covered with heat (a book I read said a heating pad, but then a friend of mine said better to use a hot water bottle), actually helps strengthen the immune system. If anyone should decide to try it, be sure to protect any fabrics, bedding, upholstery, etc. from the castor oil. It stains! Patty Instructions For Using a Castor Oil Pack: 1. Gently launder wool in cold water with a little detergent to remove any impurities which may remain in fabric and let dry. 2. Fold at least once to make a pack of appropriate size, and saturate with castor oil by pouring onto pack or dipping pack in preheated oil. 3. Position pack over abdomen and cover with piece of plastic and heating pad. A towel may be useful to protect bedding. 4. Turn heating pad on low or to a setting the body tolerates. Do not use heat if infection or fever is present or suspected. 5. Allow pack to remain for an hour or more. Longer applications can be beneficial if you avoid falling asleep with heating pad turned on. 6. After pack is removed, cleanse abdomen with solution of baking soda in water (1 teaspoonful to a pint), or use Castor Clean. 7. Store pack in plastic bag or other container in a cool place when not in use. After 24 uses or less, pack should be cleaned or discarded. 8. Use 3-5 days per week for 3 weeks each month until results are obtained. Their neutralizer gel can be a styling gel, and the neutralizer itself can be used for all kinds of rashes, bruises, to brush your teeth and to take internally as a detox. All of these products contain no chemicals of any kind. They are made up of magnesium, calcium, potassium, energized water, ash of decadyl. I even use their laundry ball to do my laundry. I love the products. My hair looks very nice and it is nice to have a product that cleans me and my house, is healthy for me inside and out, and is completely nontoxic. I love these products! Before them I was buying from aubreyorganics. It was messy because the castor oil is very thick and sticky by the time you get it on your piece of flannel or wool and drenched enough to be effective. Since it stains, you don't want it to touch anything else, so getting it off your body and getting out of bed without getting it anywhere is a little tricky. And it seems to me that washing it off was messy too. In fact, I wonder why you can't just put the castor oil on your body first, layer a piece of wool over it and then add a heating pad or hot water bottle? I also used to put it on my feet and then put on some old socks over that. Castor oil on the feet is supposed to be very effective for detoxing as well. Let me see if I can find something regarding that. That was alot easier actually.
