Guest guest
I personally lost weight. I was 115 with implants and I am now down to 104. We all know the implants didn't weigh over 10 lbs (although my back felt like they did when I had them! ) so I think a lot of it has to do with the meds I have been taking after surgery. They make me feel a little yucky. I have to take my antibiotic and antifungal pills for 1 month so since I am at 2 weeks I have to continue this for 2 more! My appetite is slowly coming back...the one thing that I am happy about is I noticed I am not as BLOATED! I was beginning to look like my italian grandmother for a while with implants in at the end. Really skinny with a big beer gut! I have no idea if it is possible that the implants were causing this but my midriff is thinning out quite a bit. I am def. happy with that! Guest guest
I lost 20 lbs since explant. I am now back to my normal pre-implant weight. > > I have heard from many women that they experience weight loss after > explant.Just wondering if I could hear peoples personal > experiences ...if they lost(how much),gained (how much),stayed the > same? >
Guest guest
Kim, From what I've seen, weight can go either way after explant. I don't know that it's predictable. It seems to be an individual thing. Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
Hi Shirley, I am so sorry for your weight gain, but I am relieved to know I am not the only one. I have felt so alien with all the thin women around... I gained over 100 pounds, too, and am having a rough time taking it off. I also found out I had Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Have you had your thyroid checked? Autoimmune thyroid disease is pretty common, especially with those of us who have had BI. Hang in there! Guest guest
I lost 10 lbs, but I've gained 5 back because I have been making an effort to eat more than I normally do. I don't mind being 5 lbs under my normal weight, but I didn't like being 10 lbs under. Sis > > I lost 20 lbs since explant. Guest guest
Shirley I always worry about my weight too, though I just have an extra 20. I'm beginning to realize that I shouldn't compare myself to 25 year old cover girls - it is just so unrealistic (I'm 45). God is really working on me to help me find beauty in my heart, despite my weight and breast size - and the overflow from my heart is what will make me beautiful. Sounds so corny, but it is really helping me. I think for the first time in my life, after explant two weeks ago, I am focusing on my inner beauty - that is first my relationship with God, and then what I put into my body - eating healthy and exercising, focusing on my health rather than my weight. I am hoping the weight issue will only logically follow. I hope the same for you. Have you had your explant surgery yet? I'm with you on the sugar and carbs, I think they are addicting and very hard to stop.
