Guest guest
Hi Kathy, Wasn't it you that wanted information regarding B-12 injections from my chiro? I saw him today and asked about the change in blood that can result from B-12 injections given too frequently. What he said is that if too much B-12 is given, say daily for a few weeks, it stops the intrinsic factor in your body which will cause a certain type of anemia when the injections are stopped. Sorry, I don't remember the type. He said he knew a surgeon who gave himself B-12 injections prior to every surgery to keep himself mentally clear and awake. When he stopped the injections he had full blown anemia! I hope this helps! Kenda
Guest guest
Hi Kenda I never had vitamin B12 injections--I just had high b12 levels when tested. And folic acid too. I don't know why. My doctor just said he didn't think it was a problem unless it was low. It just seemed to strange to me that it was so far out of the normal range Hugs, kathy --- In , Kenda Skaggs <skaggs@c...> wrote: > > > Hi Kathy, > > Wasn't it you that wanted information regarding B-12 injections from my > chiro? Guest guest
A shortage of Vitamin B-12 can result in Pernicious anemia. My sis is telling the family my mother has it . . . I asked my mother's doctor who said she has chronic anemia. Pernicious anemia is more serious. Rogene
Guest guest
That's it -- Pernicious anemia. If you give yourself too many B-12 injections, you can develop pernicious anemia when you stop.
