Andy-

In light of all you have going on, all you are managing to do

(training-wise) is pretty impressive!!!

Very sorry to hear about your cat.

Andy,

My sympathies to you and Hugh on the loss of your kitty. I know that

your animals are your kids (for me too!) and it's so hard to lose

one, no matter if it's from illness or old age. It looks like your

new puppy came into your lives at just the right time.

Good job on keeping up with the workouts! Keep an eye on that

ankle... you have talked about it bothering you several times lately

and I'm worried you've got a minor strain/sprain there.

Take care, and hugs to both you and Hugh!

Thanks everone for their sympathies regarding our kitty. It's

something we've dealt with 3 times in the past 4 years as some of our

pets have reached old age. It doesn't get easier, but you have to

remember the good times and go on.

Here's a web page memorializing Tomas if anyone is interested

The ankle only seems to bother me after I run a long run (16+

miles). I'm thinking it is something like tendonities that flares up

when I run too much. It hasn't been quite as bad as the first time

it happened.

It's looking like I'm not going to get a long run done this week due

to time restraints and the fact that I have a 5K on Sunday morning.

I don't want to run a long run right before a 5K and I didn't get it

done yesterday. So this week is going to be an easy week and

hopefully that will pay off later.

The weather has been so hot lately with Heat Index of 105-110. Not

good for running outside very long. It is even hot early in the

morning. Tomorrow a cold front is coming through and high will be

around 80.

Wed. are free days for me. Last night we went to Outback and a

couple hours later I decided to run 8 miles on the treadmill. As I

began to run, I started feeling sicker and sicker. I decided I'd go

to 3 miles, check out the bathroom and see how I felt. I still felt

like puking so I went to bed and didn't sleep too well, but feel

better today. Apparently, eating at the Outback and running 2 hours

later does not agree with me. Never again will I try running after a

free meal. I ate a loaf of their bread, Bleu Cheese Chopped Salad,

Cyclone Chicken with steamed fresh veggies, and Chocolate Thunder

From Down Under. That could have something to do with the way I

felt. It was a great meal though!

Omigosh Andy, that made me cry. What a sweet kitty! He looks almost

exactly like my kitty Spike who we had to put down because he

contracted feline leukemia. I love the " bio " and the pictures. I

feel like I can picture Tomas and his personality exactly. Very well-

written. Thanks for sharing.

Mmmmm, Outback!!!! *drool*

Yes, I would definitely not recommend running after eating all that

yummy stuff. I love their Chocolate Thunder from Down Under. That's

the best chocolate dessert in the world.

Better!! It's a chocolate fudge brownie with nuts (warm!) with fudgy

chocolate syrup poured over it, then a scoop of vanilla bean ice

cream and a HUGE scoop of whipped cream on the top.

Did I forget any delicious part of this sinfully decadent confection,

Andy? LOL

Jen B. <--wants some NOW

> Chocolate Thunder From Down Under? Oh jeez, being a recovering

chocaholic around y'all isn't easy! Is it anything like the Motlen

Chocolate Cake from Chili's?
