Guest guest
Hello Ladies, I'm just starting to cycle my progesterone, per Dr. G's recommendation. I tried, several mos. ago many different forms and modes of progesterone doseage but my E was only at 13. I just had my estradiol level checked with other labs and it is now 124. It's a little high but I don't mind because I want to balance the P with E. I'm 59 and had periods until 20 mos. ago, regular, monthly and no misses. They were normal periods so I went through the change very late. I still have my uterus and am just wanting to hear from others, if you are menopausal and are cycling P. Have you found 50 mg. vaginal suppositories to be enough. Dr. G says to use it for 5 days but I thought I'd try 10 days. I'm breaking it in half 25 in am and 25 in p.m. but feel no side effects. I'm wondering if it's really working if I feel almost nothing negative from the suppositories. I had a violent reaction to P in all forms, oral transdermal and vaginal, when my E was low. The suppositories were from Pete Huessman's Pharmacy per PS forum. They are bio-identical compounded prog. suppositories, 100 mg. I'm kind of afraid to take the whole one, although that is the doseage recommended, but on the other hand I'm concerned that I won't shed if I don't use enough P. I'm hoping some of you may give me some insight on this. I have been corresponding with Kathy, who posts here and she has been very helpful as well. thanks for listening and I made this a little long so I could be thorough in one post. Have a great day,
