I haven't looked at many proimplant sites recently.

All those I have looked at were sponsored by plastic

surgeons.

Look at it this way . . . Why would anyone spend so

much time and money on these sites if there wasn't

something in it for them? . . . It's a business, pure

and simple! The estimated minimum cost of setting up a

site like that is $10,000, plus thousands of dollars

in maintenance.

There are nuts like us who have been injured and are

determined to do everything in their power to stop

this travesty. . . There are some of us (probably less

than 100) who spend thousands of hours reaching to

help those who are injured and tell the public about

the dangers of implants. A few - like Toxic Discovery

and Command Trust - get some fiancial help through

grants and contributions. If I understand it

correctly, either the MDL or DOW's settlement required

that some money be used to educate women about

implants.

When I went to Washington, D.C. earlier this year to

protest the FDA tentative approval of Inamed's " new "

silicone gel implant, what I heard from the other

support women I met was that they felt compelled to do

this - just as I do. I know that, for me, doing this

is God's will! This has been proven to me again and

again.

Hugs,

Rogene
