Guest guest
, If this is ALL you are eating . . . it sounds like you need more protein and whole grains and nuts - beans are good too. The things to avoid are sugar, REFINED grains and processed foods. If you have problems finding organic veggies, Dr. Rubin recommends eating frozen veggies. I recently bought a wonderful book " The New Whole Foods Enclclopedia " by Wood. She covers an incredible array of foods, describing their health benefits, how to use them and where to buy them. There are lots of simple recipes. This is one book that I can lose track of time while reading! Hugs, Rogene

Guest guest
Every time I ate sugar when I was at my worst, it made my brain fog come back. The symptoms are implant related....the eating of sugar depresses the immune system and does all kinds of whacky things. Did you see the post I sent about what sugar does? I'll send it again. (See the website for the references) http://www.mercola.com/article/sugar/dangers_of_sugar.htm# 76 Ways Sugar Can Ruin Your Health Contributed by Appleton, Ph.D Author of the book Lick The Sugar Habit In addition to throwing off the body's homeostasis, excess sugar may result in a number of other significant consequences. The following is a listing of some of sugar's metabolic consequences from a variety of medical journals and other scientific publications. Sugar can suppress your immune system and impair your defenses against infectious disease.1,2 Sugar upsets the mineral relationships in your body: causes chromium and copper deficiencies and interferes with absorption of calcium and magnesium. 3,4,5,6 Sugar can cause can cause a rapid rise of adrenaline, hyperactivity, anxiety, difficulty concentrating, and crankiness in children.7,8 Sugar can produce a significant rise in total cholesterol, triglycerides and bad cholesterol and a decrease in good cholesterol.9,10,11,12 Sugar causes a loss of tissue elasticity and function.13 Sugar feeds cancer cells and has been connected with the development of cancer of the breast, ovaries, prostate, rectum, pancreas, biliary tract, lung, gallbladder and stomach.14,15,16,17,18,19,20 Sugar can increase fasting levels of glucose and can cause reactive hypoglycemia.21,22 Sugar can weaken eyesight.23 Sugar can cause many problems with the gastrointestinal tract including: an acidic digestive tract, indigestion, malabsorption in patients with functional bowel disease, increased risk of Crohn's disease, and ulcerative colitis.24,25,26,27,28 Sugar can cause premature aging.29 Sugar can lead to alcoholism.30 Sugar can cause your saliva to become acidic, tooth decay, and periodontal disease.31,32,33 Sugar contributes to obesity.34 Sugar can cause autoimmune diseases such as: arthritis, asthma, multiple sclerosis.35,36,37 Sugar greatly assists the uncontrolled growth of Candida Albicans (yeast infections)38 Sugar can cause gallstones.39 Sugar can cause appendicitis.40 Sugar can cause hemorrhoids.41 Sugar can cause varicose veins.42 Sugar can elevate glucose and insulin responses in oral contraceptive users.43 Sugar can contribute to osteoporosis.44 Sugar can cause a decrease in your insulin sensitivity thereby causing an abnormally high insulin levels and eventually diabetes.45,46,47 Sugar can lower your Vitamin E levels.48 Sugar can increase your systolic blood pressure.49 Sugar can cause drowsiness and decreased activity in children.50 High sugar intake increases advanced glycation end products (AGEs) (Sugar molecules attaching to and thereby damaging proteins in the body).51 Sugar can interfere with your absorption of protein.52 Sugar causes food allergies.53 Sugar can cause toxemia during pregnancy.54 Sugar can contribute to eczema in children.55 Sugar can cause atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease.56,57 Sugar can impair the structure of your DNA.58 Sugar can change the structure of protein and cause a permanent alteration of the way the proteins act in your body.59,60 Sugar can make your skin age by changing the structure of collagen.61 Sugar can cause cataracts and nearsightedness.62,63 Sugar can cause emphysema.64 High sugar intake can impair the physiological homeostasis of many systems in your body.65 Sugar lowers the ability of enzymes to function.66 Sugar intake is higher in people with Parkinson's disease.67 Sugar can increase the size of your liver by making your liver cells divide and it can increase the amount of liver fat.68,69 Sugar can increase kidney size and produce pathological changes in the kidney such as the formation of kidney stones.70,71 Sugar can damage your pancreas.72 Sugar can increase your body's fluid retention.73 Sugar is enemy #1 of your bowel movement.74 Sugar can compromise the lining of your capillaries.75 Sugar can make your tendons more brittle.76 Sugar can cause headaches, including migraines.77 Sugar can reduce the learning capacity, adversely affect school children's grades and cause learning disorders.78,79 Sugar can cause an increase in delta, alpha, and theta brain waves which can alter your mind's ability to think clearly.80 Sugar can cause depression.81 Sugar can increase your risk of gout.82 Sugar can increase your risk of Alzheimer's disease.83 Sugar can cause hormonal imbalances such as: increasing estrogen in men, exacerbating PMS, and decreasing growth hormone.84,85,86,87 Sugar can lead to dizziness.88 Diets high in sugar will increase free radicals and oxidative stress.89 High sucrose diets of subjects with peripheral vascular disease significantly increases platelet adhesion.90 High sugar consumption of pregnant adolescents can lead to substantial decrease in gestation duration and is associated with a twofold increased risk for delivering a small-for-gestational-age (SGA) infant.91,92 Sugar is an addictive substance.93 Sugar can be intoxicating, similar to alcohol.94 Sugar given to premature babies can affect the amount of carbon dioxide they produce.95 Decrease in sugar intake can increase emotional stability.96 Your body changes sugar into 2 to 5 times more fat in the bloodstream than it does starch.97 The rapid absorption of sugar promotes excessive food intake in obese subjects.98 Sugar can worsen the symptoms of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).99 Sugar adversely affects urinary electrolyte composition.100 Sugar can slow down the ability of your adrenal glands to function.101 Sugar has the potential of inducing abnormal metabolic processes in a normal healthy individual and to promote chronic degenerative diseases.102 I.V.s (intravenous feedings) of sugar water can cut off oxygen to your brain.103 Sugar increases your risk of polio.104 High sugar intake can cause epileptic seizures.105 Sugar causes high blood pressure in obese people.106 In intensive care units: Limiting sugar saves lives.107 Sugar may induce cell death.108 In juvenile rehabilitation camps, when children were put on a low sugar diet, there was a 44 percent drop in antisocial behavior.109 Sugar dehydrates newborns.110 Sugar can cause gum disease.111 > > Everytime I eat sugar I get extremely Guest guest
I know the feeling well, Kim! It is going to be a hard thing to do, but can you get off of sugar for awhile? Avoid it like the plague and you should notice some improvements. As you stay away from sugar, your craving for it will diminish greatly until the thought of some of those sweet things is just very unappealing. Eventually you will find yourself giving up things completely. I used to be a major ice cream freak, but now I can look at it and be completely bored at the idea of eating it. It's pretty liberating not to be tempted beyond control with sweets. You'll get there with some effort! Guest guest
Oh, please don't be afraid to eat, not eating is so unhealthy for your body. You need food to feed your body. If you don't eat, your body will feed off of itself -- not a good thing at all. Eating healthy is very easy, in fact it is simple. Eat foods in their simplest state -- chicken, fish, meats are better than hotdogs, for example. Brown rice is better than white. Fruits and vegetables are best fresh. If you like salads, I like to make salads with different greens, a fruit -- either orange, apple or pear, other vegetables, a few walnuts or pecans and a homemade dressing. Guest guest
I think I know where she is coming from though! I used to almost be afraid to eat too, because when I was at my sickest it seemed like everything I ate caused me to have a reaction. At one time I thought I was allergic to eggs, corn, wheat, sugar, dairy, and testing revealed for sure that I was reacting to chocolate and brewer's yeast, and then my elevated rheumatoid factor was a reason to avoid all the nightshade plants (tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, etc.) It was almost too much to even think about eating and enjoying anything. Eating became a chore that I almost detested because I had to be so picky and at times it seemed no matter what I did, my body didn't like it. I've heard of other women who have had reactions to many foods--I think one woman was resigned to living on broccoli alone for weeks because it was the only thing that didn't make her feel sick. There can be hidden allergies that we have no clue about, because after implants sometimes we suddenly find ourselves allergic to things we were never allergic to before in our life. So, even though it is of course, in our best interests to eat healthy, sometimes we have a hard time figuring out exactly what foods we can eat without bringing on toxic reactions. It is no fun, but thank God it doesn't last forever, either. As for not eating, I've done alot of fasting....and fasting can be a very good thing. Guest guest
I agree, fasting can be a very good thing! I felt amazing after my fast! My concern for anyone not eating is that their body is utilizing muscle as fuel. That alone will cause fibro-like symptoms. I wonder if she could drink chicken broth or smoothies, something to at least give her some nutrition while she sorts everything out. Kenda > I think I know where she is coming from though! Guest guest
K There is something called low blood sugar that causes ones blood sugar to drop suddenly . . . I don't know if this is what you are experiencing, or if it's related to implants. Where sugar is related to our implant problems is when it creates a friendly environment for fungal organisms to thrive in our body. Almost all the implant women have yeast/fungal/Candida problems. These organisms need sugar to survive. Cutting off their food source kills them off. That's one reason fasting is so productive. . . no food, no sugar, no fungal problem. The other half of this equation is putting beneficial organisms back in ones body. That's where probiotics like Primal Defense, acidopholis and fermented foods come in. It takes some time for them to recolonize our bodies - but once they do, they keep these negative organism under control with only minor assistance. Guest guest
Kenda, Patty can recommend a number of fasts. Some include certain foods, so they're not pure fasts. She would be the one to explain them though. Rogene --- Kenda Skaggs <skaggs@...> wrote: > I agree, fasting can be a very good thing! Guest guest
Hi Awbree, I have an excellent ND who studied at one of the top naturopathic colleges in the US. He is also a licensed pharmacologist so he is very educated about prescription drugs and their impact on the body. If a prescription drug is absolutely necessary, he can prescribe the safest drug with the least harmful effects. I have treated with him for about 4 years and he has absolutely changed my life. I use him for all of my health care, other than pap smears and that sort of thing. He isn't licensed to do that sort of thing or I would have him do it as well -- I trust him that much. As far as tests, they are so individualized, I can't even begin to tell you what he would prescribe for you. He will determine what he thinks you need and will send you the necessary tests and will then go over the results with you on the phone and make any recommendations as far as supplements go. He will be as thorough as you want him to be with regard to testing and supplementation. I am a test junkie and have done many tests and take lots of supplements. My husband, on the other hand, does very little lab work and takes just a couple of supplements. It's really up to you. I have never been implanted, I cancelled my augmentation surgery date after joining this list but I have shared a lot of the same health issues women here have. If you would like contact information for my ND, let me know and I'd be happy to provide that for you -- or any other information you'd like. Guest guest
Kenda, I was just thinking - if you've already got some of the symptoms that many of us have, can you imagine what would have happened to your body if you got these things? I find I'm very concerned now for people who are about to get them - I think of those who about to get them as unsuspecting mice thinking they're about to get the cheese when in reality they're being taken to the snake pit. Guest guest
Hi Sis, That was exactly my thought my first day on this list. I phoned my plastic surgeon immediately and cancelled my surgery date. I obviously had some trigger in my life that caused my body to respond similarly to the way yours has, just think what implants would have done! Scares the hell out of me to even think about it! The good news is, with a good diet, supplementation and exercise, I am very healthy and without any symptoms. I consider myself cured. If I can beat the illnesses that I had, there's so much hope for all of you. Guest guest
Sugar is not only bad for the immune system, it also is great fuel for almost all bacteria, candida and parasites. Everytime you reach for a sweet treat, you are feeding more than just yourself! Candida is the most likely culprit here. Try eating more raw foods-- and eliminating grains and baked goods and sweets.
