Guest guest
Genie, I too get very chapped lips and have them right now along with fever blisters in each corner of my mouth. So needless to say every time I open my mouth it bleeds on both sides. Not my favorite thing to consume with all my food or kisses. Once I got thrush in my mouth. To my knowledge that is the only time I have had it but it sure gave me a new perspective on why babies scream endlessly when they have it. EVERYTHING BURNS LIKE HE**! Even water! I sure hope I never have to go through it again. If you even think you are getting it grab yogurt fast maybe you can hold it at bay if you catch it fast enough. But in my case YES sores are par for the course. As is a good spell checker or you couldn't read my writing LOL. And I am a writer by trade! Guest guest
Hi all, I wanted to throw in my two cents on the chapped lips topic. I have always had chapped lips as an adult especially when I was still smoking. Since I sell Avon, I of course wanted to try the little lip balms with the calendar on the side, and I actually think I was allergic to that! I will never use the stuff again. This was last winter. My lips became so inflamed and the corners hurt so badly that I was just miserable. Well I went to the store and bought EVERY lip balm there, at Walmart. I even did some research online and found out that the reason that Carmex is addicting is that it was designed for cold sores, it has the ingredients to help " dry out " a cold sore. Well it only makes sense if it drys out your lips and makes you want to use more. I so love that menthol tingle you get from Carmex too. So I tried Blistex, Vaseline, everything and my poor lips were in so much pain. So I tried Burts Beeswax, and that did the trick. It's got peppermint in it so it feels just as good as carmex. I don't get mouth sores, but this is what healed my chapped and inflamed lips. I swear this isn't a spam or advertisement, I keep two tubes of the burts beeswax because I always lose things, LOL. Anyway that is just my own personal experience. Melody > Genie, > > I too get very chapped lips and have them right now along with fever blisters in each corner of my mouth.
