Many people here go to Mexico to buy their prescriptions and like you said they are supposed to be able to bring back a three month supply. One time when the vet thought that my dog had valley fever she said that I may need to go to Mexico to get his medicine because it would be too expensive in the US (luckily he did not have valley fever). As far as I know, people do not have trouble bringing back medicine purchased in Mexico. The local news always suggests that you take a doctor's RX with you but I am not sure if it is necessary to cross back into the US. Last summer (I think) there was a big local story about a 70+ year old man who always got his Vicoden in Mexico. He actually had a valid US RX but got arrested in Mexico because Vicoden requires a Mexican RX there. He was in jail in Mexico for several weeks as I recall and his family had to bribe the workers at the jail so that he got good treatment. After that I decided that I was not interested in going to Mexico for my prescriptions even if a tube of Retin-A only costs $7.00 there! I hope you are wrong about seizing hormone products. The idea of the government putting compounding pharmacies out of business is sickening. There are so many other more important things for the government to focus on than trying to give Wyeth more business " for our own good " . The Women's International Pharmacy sent me a letter recently asking me to write to my congressmen protesting the attack on BHRT. I followed the links and sent the letter (email). I just wonder if those letters are effective??? Now I think that I need to write a letter to President Bush and ask him to veto any possible legislation that may be passed.
