I don't think there is anymore 4% unless you get the thing

called " Prochieve " which is the new name for crinone. The doctor

told me to use half -- but frankly, I think it's just half of a

tube - not half of 8%!! So use very little that's all.

Yes I do -- when I'm bleeding and can't stop. I had this problem a

couple of months ago. I was getting hot flashes all day and all

night long even though I was applying 4 mg of E cream. Turns out my

E was at zero! THEN I start bleeding out of control --- for days on

end - I thought this was it - hysterectomy -- but I remembered I had

the crinone gel stuck in my closet. I used it 3 nights and the

bleeding stopped! Whew! But it's not the most convenient form of P

as you know. I'd rather stick some cream on my arm and get it over

with right?

Hi ,

I just picked up my prescription of Procheive and am also bleeding non stop and

was

wondering if you had any adverse symptoms from the P. This has only happened

once

when I bled for 10 days and then I upped my E and it stopped but now it seems

that even

w/more E it doesn't stop and with very little E it doesn't stop. I think I will

try the gel.

Hi Karin -- I had no adverse reaction to the crinone. But it isn't

something I like to use on a constant basis because it's not that

convenient. Good luck.

If I'm not mistaken, there were clinical trials to test the efficacy of Prochieve/Crinone. They couldn't be marketed with FDA approval if there were no trials. Maybe to to the website and read the dosing/patient instructions.

-----Original Message-----From: rhythmicliving [mailto:rhythmicliving ]On Behalf Of Atlanta Girl... I just spoke with my GYN who is unwilling for me to do vaginal P as there are no studies to confirm effectuality..... it would seem to me if we shed our lining with this that this ought to be enough... is there any way you can tell if it completely sheds away? Is is possible to have a partial period from ineffectual P?anyone know anything with this?

Hi - sorry I've been away and just saw this. There are no studies

on Crinone? I got the name from the Uzzi Reiss book - he suggests

using it for women with bleeding problems and fibroids so tell your

gyno to get up to snuff!

And I must say that it helped me stop my heavy bleeding in a few

days the way not other P cream could ever do.
