Hi all,

Just wanted to say that I also have been trying several items in the oral protocol and from studying the physiology and having some relief from some very persistant and constant herxing symptoms that just never seem to go away from the tiniest bit of killing, including binders, sublingual glutathione, etc. I suspect this may be a Big missing piece for me and maybe many...... Here's a great group of charts for how to start this at home.......very simple....until a few days ago I thought I was only getting worse and nothing seemed to help my herxing troubles...but I know its too soon to tell much......

Love to all,

Debbie

Re: OT: PK Protocol

Thane,

The PK-PC protocol sounds promising. I wish you great success with it. When you say you feel the fat toxins being mobilized, do you mean herxing? Or feeling better?

For us newcomers, would you be willing to share your lyme story...what you've tried, how long you've been at it, etc?

Thanks,

She learned about a new protocol to treat the nerve damage from Lyme, Parkinsons, MS, Alzheimers, Lou Gehrig's disease. She is really excited about this protocol and would like to start me on it. We are no longer working on killing Lyme, but repairing the nerve damage caused by Lyme. She is also running a complete hormone panel on me. Anyway, she learned about this new therapy called the PK protocol which infuses large amounts of Phosphatydyl choline, Glutathione and methylcobalmin. You can read a little more about the PK protocol here:

Hi Marie,

Well first I need to clarify that I did realize that I had started another supplement the week before and had increased it during the time of starting the PK protocol, so I think that other supplement played some role in the amount of improvement I saw in a short time, but I still feel that the PK protocol has definately helped me so far and probably will be a big piece in my puzzle....

In a year and a half of learning on this great group, I'm not sure anyone has posted much on the body's need for phospholipids. I'm probably wrong, haven't checked the archives, but I know almost every other topic of the detoxification process has been greatly discussed and experimented with. Everything from methylation supplements to convert the toxins to the right form for detox, glutathione which is needed to grab them around the body and take to the liver, phase 1 and 2 liver functions, and especially how phase 2 has to conjugate the fat soluable ones to the bile and finally, using binders and CE's to get them out of the body!!!

But the phospholipids are needed to keep the membranes everywhere in the body ABLE to let go of the toxins! Ifyou can read more on google, I can't find the articles, Patiricia Kane likens phosphotidyl choline to "LIFE" because of how important it is in letting things in and out of the cell....so the science behind it sounds like an important piece in much of the discussion we've all had on detox....

In the oral protocol on the link I gave, she uses 5 items--PC which is phosphotidyl choline and other phospholipids, Butyrate to scavenge bad fats from the liver and intestine, the 4:1 oil, which you have used, and trace minerals and electrolytes--that's it!!

I have been using the PC, butyrate and evening primrose and fish oils from vitacost, plus the minerals.......if you need, I can send the conversion amounts as the charts are using her products--they are very pricy but claim to be alot potent that some others--I am senses changes and some results with this and in comparing her amounts, still think it is alot cheaper..... but she does claim her PC does disolve in water into micelles and not every kind does--so I did just order some of that from her......I don't think ordering her book is necessary--here is a summary of the notes from the doctors manual--which a good friend did--that covers all the main points--its very complete and interesting--I'm not paying much attention to the info on IV's now....

http://www.facebook.com/notes/katerina-baboulas-lyme-cfids/pk-protocol-notes-physicians-manual/131043386976224

Let me know if you can't open this--she did it in her facebook account....

I have learned that PC stays in the body for 4 days, alot more than some other sups, so I have not ramped up from level A, her lowest level as I think it accumulates too much, I've been very sick and very toxic I'm sure from trying to kill for a year but herxing never ending :) and just from having lyme and co. fior 50 years......so I always go slower than most everyone else :) Thane has had some interesting experiences with this.....I was doingmy usual amounto f chelators and finally my liver started to hurt alittle, never has before...finally realized the Pc was making more toxins chelatable and coming to the liver---so I quit the chelation for awhile--I hd never done it while on the PC before!! but that proves its working!

Hope this helps alittle ~ God bless all ~

Debbie
