Guest guest
I'm so glad I have this support group to keep checking in on - just to feel like someone else can relate. Surgery is Wednesday. Not nearly as anxious as I thought I would be. Just wish I had lost some weight so that my stomach wouldn't stick out further than my new little boobs!! Really though, I think we women sometimes worry too much about our body image don't we? Isn't life so much more than boobs? What was I thinking when I got these things anyway? Guest guest
Cherie, Congrats on the upcoming explant. You are going to be so RELIEVED to have those bags out! Boy I was. I was ready to rip them out myself, I was so sick. Like Melinda, I had a cancelled surgery, only I actually made the trip to Atlanta and had to go back home! My liver enzymes were over 500 and the anesthesiologist said surgery could send me into hepatic crisis. So I had to go home and come back in a month. That was the longest month ever. Don't worry about the weight. Right now, just be glad you are taking steps that will help your health and that will help your appearance! I too wonder why I got implants...but I do know why; I wanted to wear clothes and I had an asymmetry tha tmade it very difficult. Of course, it mattered a lot more to me 20 years ago than it does now. I guess we grow older and wiser? > > I'm so glad I have this support group to keep checking in on - just to > feel like someone else can relate. Surgery is Wednesday. Guest guest
Hi - Actually I'm 11/7 - so I've got 3 weeks to go. Scared but then again I wish it were tomorrow. Today my mind was apologizing to my body for causing it so much trauma. Sis > > Wow . . . At least three women getting explanted this > week! . . . Guest guest
Hey congrats your day is coming up! YEAH! On the other hand dont' let this whole issue upset you too much. We all just wanted to look good and nice and be accpeted and that is ok. We are not to blame. I don't think that we did anything wrong except that we did not know that implants would make us sick. None of us would have done it had we known about this side effect. I mean look how many normal healthy women most of us have known or seen with implants we got sold the idea that they were safe. It is a shame but not our fault. As for your wieght, don't stress.... but make sure you get your hormones esp thyroid and estrogen and your others too checked out, just make sure they are all ok, they can make losing weight tough on some women. I am lucky that I did not gain any weight with implants, but I also could not drop any weight with them either. I lost about 5 or 6% body fat after I got rid of them so I know they were keeping me from achieving my fitness goals for sure. You can't work out everyday and feel good so it is hard to lose wieght. When you get rid of them and start on a healthy eating plan I suspect you will shed any unwanted pounds and feel and look great. Feeling great comes first in my book! Good luck! n , " Cherie " <cheriesut@y...> wrote: > > I'm so glad I have this support group to keep checking in on - just to > feel like someone else can relate. Surgery is Wednesday. Guest guest
Thanks I know, I love to exercise and have to force myself when I feel so bad. Weight has been stuck for a while now, with 20 extra pounds. But that's all part of my healing, getting over worrying about it so much. I am very excited to be well again, hope I'm not disappointed! When I think about Wednesday though, and the reality of putting the kids on the bus and then heading to the hospital, I am feeling anxious and teary. Just can't wait to get home from the hospital. What was your recovery like? Thanks again Cherie > > > > I'm so glad I have this support group to keep checking in on - just to > > feel like someone else can relate. Surgery is Wednesday. Guest guest
My recovery was not too terribly bad. It took me about a year to get all my old energy back and probably about 18 months before all my aches and pains went away. i still probably had some foot and hand pain beyond that but it was not too bad. I got better mostly with exercise, eating well and just taking good care of myself. I did a variety of things in the beginning and it some of it worked some didn't. I did a grape fast for a few days that was interesting and helped me to feel pretty good but I never did allot of detoxing per se... enemas and what not. I got completely better and am doing fabulous now. You will be fine just hang in there, your time is almost here! hugs n , " Cherie " <cheriesut@y...> wrote: > > Thanks > I know, I love to exercise and have to force myself when I feel so > bad.
