Guest guest
Hi , I am at the top dose of 4500 mg daily of DLPA, just got there, so far it is not helping my pain, but my pain is very severe and I probably am not a good person to base your decision on... But the info I have read claims this is the real deal, 85% have a reduction in pain, that is excellent! Take care, Jim > > > > My favorite herbalist (from curezone) had this to say about repairing Myelin Sheath... > > > > " " Neuropathies generally result from myelin breakdown. Elevated glucose is one cause but infection, medications or trauma can also cause it. So the focus is on rebuilding the myelin. Myelin regrows so slowly that it was once thought to not regenerate, but this has since been proven false. Be patient though. > > > > The best way to rebuild myelin is with lecithin, fatty acids and B12. Lecithin is best taken as granules. Recommended dose is one tablespoon 3 times daily. You can sprinkle the granules on food or blend in a smoothie. > > > > It has a slightly nutty flavor. Fatty acids can be derived from fish oils and nut oils. For fish oil stick to cod liver oil. I don't care for salmon oil due to the high risk of heavy metal contamination. Seed oils include hemp, flax, etc. > > > > For B12 I recommend getting a sublingual tablet of methylcobalmin. By using sublingual tablets it bypasses possible absorption problems. I recommend 1 tablet daily under the tongue. > > > > If the doctor can find out the cause of the neuropathy I can give you more suggestions. > > > > Also you should look in to DL-phenylalanine (DLPA) for the pain. DLPA is a precursor for the body's dopamine, which is our own pain killer. DLPA should be taken on an empty stomach at least 30 minutes before meals. > > > > It takes about 2 weeks to kick in, but the effects are long lasting once it kicks in. And it can help wean him off the pain pills. Recommended intake is 1,000mg 3 times daily on an empty stomach. " " > > >

Guest guest
Just an FYIIf you Lyme has caused you to be on the anxious/raw nerves side, I have found DLPA to exacerbate these symptoms. My son, who has a lot of Lyme neuro symptoms, had one dose of DLPA a few years ago. He was not a happy camper that day. It made even more anxious and nervous. I took it and it did nothing for me, but then amino acids rarely do anything for me.
