Guest guest
--- I had vision problems about a year and a half into it. After explant and all the drugs wore off i never noticed the vision problems again. Before i could barely read as well and was very dizzy all the time. I am getting a little dizziness back now and then but the vision is great. In , " freebindi " <bindi@a...> wrote: > > Did anyone have vision problems with implants and did it go away? I've had terrible vision problems since implantation. It varies in intensity, but for the past week it's been really bad. I can hardly read sometimes. How about tinnitis? Anyone have that, and did it go away? I know I sound very paranoid and whiny right now. I think the head-related symptoms are the worst--vertigo, vision problems, ear problems, brain problems-- if I could choose, I'd take the muscle aches and the fatigue over the head stuff. The head stuff is creepy. If I had to live with it forever I think I'd just jump off the Golden Gate Bridge and let the sharks eat me (just kidding, but heck, what would be the point?) > > Yours in Solidarity for Future Freedom from the Alien Twins- > Melinda > P.S. Guest guest
Many, many of us had vision problems, and most seem to have cleared up within a year or two of explant (depending on how sick one was). I think yours will also go away. I had tinnitis, and vertigo. I had mental confusion (brain fog) and all kinds of mental symptoms. Mostly gone. Most women have completely lost the brain fog within a year or two, some within a few weeks or months of explant. Guest guest
Hi Melinda, You sound just like me when I was at my sickest. I had the vision problems, I had the brain fog and cognitive dysfunction and all of that. I had ear trouble....even went to an ear, nose and throat specialist who checked me out and said everything was okay. The good news is that my vision problems did clear up for the most part. I began wearing reading glasses a few months ago, but that is because I am 46 years old and well, those things happen at my age. But before that, those annoying vision disturances (the sensitivity to light at times, the blurriness, the aching in the eyes) all cleared up. Yes, that head stuff is the creepiest. It was what drove me near mad. I wish the best for your recovery! Patty > > Did anyone have vision problems with implants and did it go away? I've had terrible vision problems since implantation. Guest guest
My gosh you sound just like me... i can remember saying the same thing to my family about the whole issue when I was ill. I was alwasy saying if I could just have the pain I can deal with that...the brain thing is what is driving me nutso! And now well, it all went away after explant....as long as you get all that capsule out of you and get the job done right you will get better. I would try to just stay calm as possible until your date comes. You will be fine. I know it is hard to believe it when your so so sick but I got better and I didn't really do a whole lot of things to get well other than get the implants out, do my regular workouts 5-6 days a week and sleep and eat nutritious foods. I didn't diet or take a ton of supplements. I kind of did what I could as far as vitamins go...sometimes I was really diligent and took them often and other times I would skip them, it didn't seem to make a huge difference that I could notice. I Know that for me the implants being removed with the capsule....was the key to my recovery. Everyone is different of course but you sound like your in pretty good health other than this implant illness syndrome and it sounds like your doing all the right things. I would just be concerned that your surgeon gets all the capule out of you and that it is done enbloc since I think you said you have gel implants....also since you had more than one set before you want to make sure that they clean up the old stuff too. I think you will be just fine. The brain stuff cleared up for me slowly at first I was still kind of dizzy and in fact I think it got slightley worse for a month or so and then it just sort of faded away and in fact by 8-9 months it was pretty much completely gone. It may have been sooner than that but I know by 1 year I still had a few set backs...by 18 months I think that was around the last time I experienced any kind of vertigo feeling. Now I have not experienced that since then and it has been years. Hang in there truly it is something that can be overcome! Guest guest
Definitely! I had lots of vision problems--flashes of light, blurry vision, watery eyes, dry eyes, painful burning eyes. I had tinnitus some of the time, other times it felt like my ears were thick and I couldn't hear. I had shooting pains in my head all the time, like pinpricks, my tongue felt like electricity was flowing through it and I had all kinds of dizziness, brain fog, and weird floating sensations. I felt entirely abnormal and it was very scary. I felt like I was detached from this world physically and mentally. Thankfully, it went away after explant. Yours will too. Guest guest
I had silicone, Melinda. I did not have vision problems, but I did have tinnitis. I also had dizziness and vertigo, hives, other rashes, joint aches (severe pain), fatigue, tingling numbness and peripheral neruopathy....think that about covers it, but I may be missing something. I am considerably better - I haven't gone into anaphlactic shock since having my explant. You WILL feel better in time, after explant. SOmeone here mentioned, accurately so, that it takes time to feel better. I became despondent the first year because I felt as bad or worse and wondered if it would make no difference. But now, I see remarkable changes and my overall health has significantly improved. > > > > Did anyone have vision problems with implants and did it go away? > I've had terrible vision problems since implantation.
