Guest guest
Ok... I posted last month in other forum and based on knowledgable opinion and popular consenus I am " very hypo " . Adrenal testing was suggested to. Being the stubborn individual I am, I went ahead with iodoral that I had already purchased. I got TERRIBLE headaches, and by day 10 I was off of it (at Dr recommendation also). So now... Dr tested me with Chromotronix machine...I have energetic evidence of food allergies, bacterias, viruses, adrenal weakness, thryoid issues. He now wants me to try additional vitamin liquid, PrimeOne (body adaption), continue DHEA 2x day, continue pregnenolone, estrogen, primose oil, fish oil, start SAMe, and another one I can't even pronounce. Now I'm supposed to eliminate glutens, dairy and sugar. How the " bleep " am I supposed to keep track of all that? Plus, I HATE to take pills. Now...I do have faith in that little machine (trans-dermal whatever where you hold the copper in one hand, he tests the other) since it helped to virtually eliminate my daughter's asthma...different doc though. I'm not so sure about anything else. I am sure I am hypo. I am sure I have weakened adrenals. I had labs run a couple of years ago that included anti-thyroid Perioxidase AB, which had a result of <1.0 for a normal range of 0-20. DOes that mean I am negative for thyroid anitbodies? That never changes correct? Cortisol burden then was 42 on 23-42 scale, rhythm was normal, elevated, normal, elevated. DHEA was 3 on 3-10 scale. Also, Has it been your experience/opinion that if I just go ahead and treat the hypo/adrenals that I won't need extra this and that supplements, a dermatologist for the itchy face/rashes, eat like a normal healthy person, the carpal tunnel will go away, the need for allergy meds will go away, I will at last lose weight, the skin on my heels will soften, and I will be able to sleep and generally return to " normal " good health? I have plenty of other symptoms looking at the stop... website. I guess I am confirming to myself that I need to make this a priority and use my own head (with your help). Now I am confused as to how to handle the adrenal/hypo treatment plan. My temps on the Dr Rind chart have averaged over the last 10 days: 97.1 97.7 98.0 97.5 98.0 97.3 97.7 98.1 97.5 97.7 97.3 I'm a little cash poor (thanks to recent dr visits) right now so I'm trying to avoid any more tests unless absolutely necessary. Sorry this is so long. I really appreciate your help. I feel like I am at a crossroads of an important life decision and need a little confirmation to get me moving. Thanks so much. In that time I know I have tried at least 50 different supplements. The ONLY ones that have helped are Armour, Hydrocortisone, and DHEA. I have tried MANY for several months and even Pregnenolone which several doctors I have heard swear by, did nothing for me, so I am unimpressed. Your temps show me a definite adrenal problem as well as hypo. As your cortisol is running high, you can try two different approaches. The first would be taking Phosphatidyl serene at night time along with DHEA in the mornings. If this doesn't work for you, or you feel worse on it, you can try taking Hydrocortisone. There is some ??? about taking this when you are producing too much cortisol already, but I have heard of positive results taking it as it shuts down the ACTH production from the pituitary and should pretty quickly shut your own cortisol production down as well. If you do decide on HC I would recommend starting with a 20MG a day dosage of 10MG first thing in the morning then in four hours 5MG then in four hours 5MG. -- Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Sorry meant to ask this with the other question...At what point do I start treating the hypo? Should this be treated concurrently, or wait till they are functioning better? Thx. Guest guest
Phosphatidyl Serene (or Phosphatidyl Serine) can be found online but I do not know about health food stores, you can certainly check. I used ti for a while and bought it here www.ourhealthcoop.com as they had good prices for many things and I have bought from them many times. I think you only need treat adrenals for about a week before starting thyroid treatment, as they do need to be treated concurrently. The main thing to remember is with adrenal problems you need to move very slowly with thyroid increases. Though high cortisol is not as difficult to deal with concerning thyroid as low is.I would start the thyroid at about 30MG or 1/2 grains after a week of adrenal support, then only increase by 1/4 grains every 2 weeks till you get to three grains. -- Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
