Guest guest
- I was just going to ask a question pertaining to dental issues. I've noticed that when my joints swell up, that I also seem to have nerve pain in some of my teeth. I haven't had any dental work since my BA 5 months ago, and I'm trying to put it off until after I've had the explants in November. It's not like a normal toothache, it seems like this pain travels in a main nerve in my gums. Sis > > Hi ladies, > Has anyone had any problems with their gums? Guest guest
I have had very sensitive gums & teeth to hot, cold & sweets, but I have also had quite a few mouth sores. I was diagnosed with Sjogren's (dryness of mucous membranes), but not sure the dianosis is correct or if the sores are adding to my overall sensitivity. I'm thinking the mouth sores are related to the staph infection, so we will see if they subside w/the antibiotic tx. Think Sjogren's is common in women w/implants so maybe you also? Hope this helps! Guest guest
That's what I am dealing with now. I just had two root canals done, and the pain in my teeth was unbearable. I never had any major dental issues before. Now, suddenly, I have this weird gumline decay that went deep into the gum, requiring the root canals on two adjacent teeth. I have also had more problems with receding gums, and had to have the gumline filling as well. That was not painful though. With the root canals, it was a burning feeling, definitely the nerves. It also resulted in what my dentist called " referred pain " , where the upper teeth were also affected by pain, although the decay was only in my bottom teeth. That referred pain has pretty much gone away. (Now to add drama to this stupid mess, I found out Monday that the slim stainless steel file the endodontist used to dig deep into the root of my tooth accidentally broke off in my root. He didn't tell me, but tried to retrieve it on the second visit, where I was supposed to get the gutta percha filling and be done. He was not successful. Instead, I have to go back in a couple weeks so he can give it a third attempt at retrieval. He told me that if he can't get it out, he will leave it in there and fill in the gutta percha around it. I don't think so! I am allergic to metals! He claims that these things just sometimes happen. Hmmmm.) I don't know what the connection is, but I have certainly heard from many women who have experienced strange and unusual dental issues since getting implants. I wish we had answers on this one too . Guest guest
Patty i am super sorry to hear that you had to go through so much with your root canals. I know they were something you really never wanted to go through. the pain can sure send us where we never thought we would go doesn't it? I know having had several of them due to extreme pain. I am pretty bummed out right now too because I can see new tooth decay allong my gum line on my bottom front teeth. Due to this I may be looking at another row of crowns. I had to crown my top teeth due to the decay and yellowing. Now the bottoms may have the same fate and it is def related to my implant and health issues in the past, I have no proof just that gut instinct. Heres to hoping this wil be the last root canal in your life! carrie n , " glory2glory1401 " <glory2glory1401@y...> wrote: > > That's what I am dealing with now. Guest guest
Thanks , me too. Sorry to hear you are suffering wth more dental issues as well. It sure is something that caught me by surprise, and my dilemma on what to do about it was very difficult. Patty > > > > > > > > Hi ladies, > > > > Has anyone had any problems with their gums?
